Third year, Computer Science, St. Clair college. It'll also be my third year doing NaNo, though I've never managed to finish (the closest I came was 26000 words).

Fourth year accounting student at the university. I should actually have more time, so hopefully this year I won't be writing 20,000 words in six days like I did last year.

I'm a recent graduate from U of W who's giving this a second go around.
Last year I hit about 20-25k words...can't remember the amount exactly. This year I won't be working on a thesis at the same time, and my new idea is a bit more complete, so I'm looking forward to cracking that magic number!

I work in the IT department at St. Clair college. I've been writing off and on since high school (more off than on), and have always wanted to get some books out there. I started a huge epic series over two years ago, but it has been on hiatus most of the time since then. I've done a lot of non-fictional writing on some of my websites and such, but my true passion is fiction. I found out about this site a week or two ago on a local messageboard. I'm hoping it will once again jumpstart my writing spark, so I can finally get that epic going again. However, I also look forward to writing some smaller novels, so this is perfect to get those ideas out. Good luck to everyone. Oh, and my favorite genres are fantasy, sci-fi and horror. Most of the books/stories I have started to write, or aspire to write, will fall into at least one of those genres - if not all.

I'm a philosophy/English major at the University. I've taken the year off and have far too much time on my hands. This is my first year attempting this insanity! Nice to meet you all.

I'm a freelance writer, a copy editor, and an online writing coach. I've written a bunch of novels and other books (and have self-pubbed a few) but have yet to be published by any house other than my own :). I work at home, just off Riverside Dr. I've been playing with the idea of NaNo for weeks and decided late last night to dive in, so here I am... excited and pretty sure I'm certifiable.

Ha ha, self employed author, artist and internet guru. ;) I'm 25 and I live in the East End. My name is Lee. I'm going to self publish my writing eventually. I have trouble finishing what I start, and I really like NaNoWriMo because it forces you to get a project done by the sheer deadline of it.
H'lo all!

Elementary school teacher and aspiring writer since childhood. Didn't think I'd have time to do it again this year (November's the worst time for me to take on a project with report cards and volleyball coaching etc., etc.). But it came down to the last day and I couldn't resist - I think I'd hate myself if I didn't at least try - I had so much fun last year. I also have a hard time finishing what I start but NaNo has helped a lot with that.
Good luck everyone and good to meet ya!

I'm a 4th year Forensics Student at U of W. I've always wanted to give this a try and I've tried many times to write a novel. Doing this though I figure will make me actually try and finish. I hate the way that the things I write read back sometimes but this time I'm going to write it all and edit later. Wish me luck!
