Welcome back Pullman NaNoers!
How many of us are left from last year? And do we have any new recruits?
I'm OnceUponaBrokenDream... or Jenny, if you'd prefer. This is my second year, and I'm absolutely elated about the prospect of getting together to write with all of you! =)

Auci here! The last two years though. Yep! I'm back. Hopefully this time I can finish the novel. Not even sure what it's going to be about yet.

Hi! I'm a newbie! My name's Jen. I have several friends who have done this in the past, and I love to write, so I figured I'd give it a shot. No clue what I'm going to write about yet, so I guess we'll see what comes out on Nov 1!

I'm back!
Hi, I'm Nicole. I've been doing this since 2002. I didn't win last year, and I was last year's ML until I disappeared on all of you, for which I apologise. For those of you who don't yet know, I'm partially paralysed from the waist down. The day after my birthday (November 18th), the E.R. found the beginnings of a pressure sore on my... uhm... posterior, and my NaNo Year was OVER. The next thing I know, I wasn't allowed to sit more than like an hour a day. Standing or laying on my stomach or sides was IT, and those sores take forever to heal, as I soon found out.
The thing is, what I had was the beginnings of the thing that killed Christopher Reeve, a.k.a. Superman. So it was a really big deal at the time.
I hope everyone else is doing well.

Awww... It's good to see you back though! I've learned from my RPG that it's best to take care of yourself before your writing...
(But shhhh don't tell my RPer's that I've learned that... :P)
HUGS TO EVERYONE!

This is Alicia. I'm returning for my third year, hoping to complete my third novel. Never mind that the last two were god-awful and unsalvagable when I tried to edit them... Anyhow, I know my plot for this year, got it all worked out. I'm looking forward to the meet-up's, and seeing everyone again.

Hey everyone!
I'm pre-heated-death, and this is my...... uuuuhhhmmm.... fourth year doing this horrible, horrible thing. Which I love. I totally disappeared on you guys last year (though I so won!), and I'm way sorry. I'm a senior in Biology at UI..... and I have the worst schedule this year. Between biochem, mammalogy, teaching nonmajors that biology is important, and two easy classes that I don't remember right now (uuhhhmm.... herpetology and.... plant-animal... interactions?), I've almost expired about ten times this semester (seriously. I've been almost run over about five times, deathly sick from walking in the rain once, attacked by nonmajor normal flora a couple times, abducted by aliens a few too many times, been subjected to working with hexane, evil biology professors, weird animal-skin dessicant and horrible grammar problems, and exposed to possibly-deadly bacteria).
Yeah. Or.... uhhh.... something. Anyway! It's great to be back! And I'm sure we'll have even more fun than last year! ....I might become a zombie this next month, but.... but... uhhmmm... at least, as a zombie, I can be one of Michael Jackson's backup dancers (this only highlights my braindeadedness....).
And Nicole -- you're way tougher than Superman. I'm still going to do the whole DNA hemp thing we talked about last year.

Holy crap everyone, that's awesome!
So far, this means we have nine Pullman Nanoers, and that's HUGE!
I'm glad many of you have been kind enough to wave high, it gives me an idea of how much goodies to order for all y'all from NaNoWriMo HQ. X-D
Welcome to the group everyone! And just as a reminder: Our rivals at the University of Washington are the Hydrophobic Ducks, and we are the Bubonic Squirrels. *EG*

It was suggested that I re-introduce myself as the new co-liason for Pullman. So here I go!
I'm Jenny, and I'm the new co-liason for Pullman! Evening Scribe has been doing this a lot longer than I have, so I bow to her superior knowledge and experience. If you have any questions regarding "ML business", please feel free to contact either one of us!
I'm looking forward to seeing last year's writers again and meeting all you new NaNoers!

*Chuckle* Welcome, Gage. Don't worry, food will be available for purchase in all or most of the places we have our write-ins at. We're considering a meet-up this Sunday, pop on over to that thread if you're interested!
So, how old are you and what genre do you think you'll be writing this year? Are you new to NaNo?

I gave it a go last year--started a week late and didn't come close to finishing--but it was fun, and I wrote more in those 3 weeks than I have in the year since, so I want to do it again. I don't think I posted in the forums last year, though, so I'm a newcomer here. We'll see how this thing goes....

Hi,
I'm new to NaNoWriMo this year, though I did read and try to follow "No Plot! No Problem!" in March 2005. And I have no idea what I'm going to write, so we'll see what comes out beginning November 1.

Okay, I have a new question.
For those of you for whom this is your first year, or your first year doing this in Pullman (please specify), how did you find out about NaNoWriMo? And how did you find out about the Pullman NaNoWriMo group?
Just wondering. :)

Well this is my fifth year living in Pullman (yup, the trusty 5 year plan), and my first year in NaNoWriMo. I found out about the Pullman group by wandering through the site and noticing that they had a whole "region" thing going on.
I've heard of NaNoWriMo in years past, but was always too intimidated to participate. I'm not in school this semester, though, and I'm an English major, so I think I owe it to myself to try this.
I may or may not make it to the kickoff party (it's pre-Halloween weekend for Christ's sake!), but I look forward to the write-ins. Keep me posted on that.
Oh, and Nicole, we totally know each other.

I first heard of NaNoWriMo about halfway through November of two years ago, when a bunch of people on one of the forums I read started talking about it. As it was quite a bit too late to get involved that year, I filed it away in my list of "interesting annual events", and participated last year.
I found the Pullman group simply because I updated my region from Seattle (where I was last year) to Pullman, and suddenly started getting notices and the like saying that there actually was a group of us crazy people out here.

Hey Pat, I saw your name but had thought perhaps it was a coincidence at the time. Yes, I totally remember who you are and I'm psyched to see you. :)
