So I've decided to host a little kick off way up here in grande prairie and wondering if there is anyone in the area that would like to attend and where and when we would meet. I haven't attended a kick off since 2005 so Im very excited about this and I would love to meet other writer from around the area. If anyone is interested please let me know ^_^

Yes Yes!!!

Two of us here would definitely be interested!!!!!

A coffee shop would be great - Esquires? They don't seem to mind rowdy groups in my experience.

Wait... there are two Esquires now? Man, that place grows like a weed. Definitely time for me to pay another visit.

Anyway, I just want to say that this is a great idea, and that anyone in Grande Prairie should seriously consider joining in:

  1. Just talking to other writers can really help you form your own ideas.

  2. Nano writers tend to be a friendly, welcoming bunch, and there's room at the table for every sort of writer.
  3. Forums become much more involving when you can put a face to some of these names.
  4. Not only will you make some new friends that will cheer you on...
  5. You'll find yourself wanting to cheer them on, as well.

Have fun, and make sure you let me know how it went!

I'm around! Really! I just don't pay much attention. Give me a date and time...and if someone could swing around and pick me up, I'm all for it! PARTY ON!

I'm happy to host mini parties in my dorm too. I can only handle about...oh...twelve people, but I promise to provide hot chocolate/tea/juice and a power hook up! Sadly, I don't have open internet, but NaNo parties aren't about internet, they're about mad sprinting!
Besides, we could always have breaks in between sprints and watch inspiring movies. I have a good collection of...oh...about 150 now, and I'm sure we can find SOMETHING pertaining to our NaNo novels!
Can you all tell I'm rambling? I'm just so stoked! I did NaNo in Fort St John last year and I didn't have anyone arranging parties and what not, so this is incredibly exciting for me!

Heh, I'll have to ride the number four once before the meeting day, so I know where in the heck I'm going. I only ever ride the number five. I don't even know what Esquires looks like!

Yeah...I don't know where that is either. I think I'll bribe my roommate for a ride *grins*
I know I know, I need to get a life. But I really don't know many people here, so I don't go out, which means I barely know this city. Geeze...I feel like such a wuss *snickers* Silly me!

Hi everyone, nano newbie here, and I'm a little freaked out that I actually signed up. So, yeah, I might be interested in coming to a kick off thingy that involves coffee or hot chocolate. Has a date been set yet?

I don't see the problem with making it an official kick-off... Nov. 1 at 7:00PM, then? That's a Thursday, and they're open until 10:00PM. The West Esquire's, near Gold's Gym.

We actually got together at Kuro's house that night and...well...we were very bad and barely got any writing done. Naughty us! It was fun though!!!
