How Many?

I have a question to put forth (And I in no way mean for it to be derogatory). How many of us ('us' = wrimos in our region) are real Thai? How make are Luk-krung (hafling)? How many are farang? Just a statistics curiosity and I completely understand if this thread is ignored, deleted or protested against.

I'll start: Luk-krung (which explains my English).

Regional Stats

From the regional stats page, I see there are 18 WriMos in this region. I assume we are all in Bangkok, although some could be from other Thai areas.

Also, 7 of us are new this year. To all the new guys, Welcome!

For me, the purpose of NaNo is for us to encourage each other to pursue a better quantity of writing, because only through a higher quantity can our quality improve. Even if I end up with 49,999 words of crap, I'll still expect my writing to benefit from this experience.

Now pardon me while I watch an episode of Seinfeld before NaNo starts.

Nervous Energy

I just finished dinner and I'm waiting to get started, so I decided to post the preparations I've made for this year's NaNo.

1) I've set up my outline in a Word document (rtf format so I can access it from most word processors).

2) I've emailed a copy of my outline to myself so I always have my starting file as a backup.

3) I have several notebooks in the event that the electricity goes down, or if the computer malfunctions.

4) I've loaded up with carbs, candy, and ice-cream for those late-night writing sessions.

5) The 10,000 volt electric current directed through the doormat has been tested on the neighborhood dogs. Ready for any undesirable interruptions.

6) 1711 (McDelivery) posted on the wall in front of me in case the munchies don't make it. My Muse seems to have a particular affinity for McChicken sandwiches.

7) Aluminum hat in case aliens want to fry my brain.

They say that paranoia is one of the side-effects of too much amphetamine use, but I think I'm safe. Don't you?
