Hey everyone! I don't know anyone doing NaNo and I haven't got any writing buddies, but I'd love some from Sydney! Does anyone mind if I add them? Feel free to add me! I'd love to get to know some other (crazy) people doing this, especially people who live near me!

Hey Alexis. You can add me if you like, but be warned, I'm planning to reach 50K in 2 weeks. You'll have a hell of a time keeping up! ;-)

Holy frak! That's... extraordinary. Do you plan on sleeping at all, Ray? *grin*

You can add me if you want Alexis. I'm not quite as ambitious as Ray. I'll just be glad if I manage to make it to the 50k mark by November 30. I'll add you too. I've only got a couple of writing buddies.

Well I did it in 16 days last year, so is 14 days so much shorter? And yes, sleep is mandatory. I am having the first 6 days of Nov off, hoping to get about 30K done then (5k a day... doable, if the muse permits). Who wants to keep up with me?? Anyone?

Woah... in 2 weeks?! And here I am wondering how I'm going to get it done in 3! (Which I probably won't do, mind you!)

Anyway, I'm adding you both! Hope that's OK! ^_^

If a writing buddy can help keep me motivated then I need a lot to get through the month. Love to join your group if you can handle another one.

I already added Alexis, but a quick note: if anyone else wants to add me, that's fine. Tell me though, so I can add you, too! (Hey, I wonder if I can see my house from here... sorry, I'm kinda random...)

Glad to see you're back, Irishram! And your second personality. I have a couple of them!
...Somewhere...

You can add me if you want! Anyone can! I don't care who you are! Click the Add-As-Buddy thing below my pic on my profile! Go ahead! You know you want to talk to my nuttyness!

Maxtac, I'll take you on on the 14-day thing! I did it in 21 last time (Would have been faster if I hadn't restricted myself to 2k a day) and I feel the words getting ready to flow! 14? I can do it!

Feel free to add me too anyone!
I'm new to the NaNoWriMo thing... I read No Plot! No Problem two years ago and started trying it, but was too busy and never really got around to trying again... A pity, because it's something I'd love to do.

And I'd love to try to match those racing to pump out the words, but I'm looking at a slow start myself -- I have a few essays due until the 9th of November, when I can start writing for as long as the muse lets me.

Mozric, and I don't recommend this, but I have HSC exams until the 15th ;-) Guess where that's placing me?

And for those about to berate me for doing something stupid like a NaNo race *and* my HSC: Writing is my release. Would you rather I joined the 'Emos'? (I broke down twice over the last week because everyone was piling on the pressure and my dad changed the password on the computer so I couldn't write. He hasn't dared do it again.)

HSC? Nah, not stressful. I probably should have written a novel during my HSC, I instead played 100hrs of Final Fantasy. ;-)

Seriously though, it's a real bastard how much pressure they put on you during the HSC. I'm very glad that the course I'm doing now (Arts!) didn't have a high UAI, so nothing was really lost by me being casual about my study.

Good to be back. The other personality is also happy to be back, if only for the enjoyment of watching me fail.

How is the HSC going Mythic?

hey all my first time doing nano too, so I'd love some Sydney based buddies! :D please feel free to add me!

hehe Ray... in a Herculean effort, I once wrote almost 20,000 in eight hours... and they actually didn't suck! 2 weeks for 50k is definitely doable, if difficult. But I think I'm gonna pace myself on nano, myself.

My first nano as well! Well, I've signed up every year for about four now, but I've never got anywhere. HSC, SC, etc. This year I've got only one essay due next week, an exam tomorrow, had an exam today & one more next week (yay uni!) so I've got TIME this November.

Also PrincessBee, I've done what you did -- I sat down for ten hours straight once & wrote decent 20,000 words. I was so proud of it... unfortunately the computer crashed one day & I lost it all, including my backups on various discs around the house.

But yay, nano!

Ok, another newbie who's added heaps of you as buddies...
Ok, so I'm also sad enough to have picked the people that have done fewer words than me so far too ;)
Feel free to add me right back - even if you have done much better than me ;)

Another Sydney-sider here!

It's my second time on NaNoWriMo, but I never even broke 1000 words last year. This year, I've been trying to write short stories in order to limber up. And I've already discovered that an hour a day isn't enough time to get out the magic 1667 words. :-./

I'm doing me words early morning - 2 hours gets me around the magic 1667
