Figured we needed a proper thread for this.

Hi! I'm Linzi, I'm 22 (23 in November!) and I work as a sales assisstant, and a video editor (voluntary job). I love writing; I'm doing a few open university courses in it next year. I also love photography; I'm hoping to get my first DSLR very soon.
Hmmm....oh yeah. I also play guitar :-)

Bristol (and surrounding) Nanowrimers...

How many people are doing Nanowrimo this year from Bristol and the surrounding area? Last year a bunch of us met up fairly regularly through the glorious month for "write-ins", generally on a Thursday night, but there were also some Sunday afternoon sessions.

We'll almost certainly do it again this year, if anybody from last year is around. The Skoot I recognise from last year, Chris, right? And Roxasora, although I don't remember if you made it to any of the write-ins - either way, it's good to see familiar names on the board already.

I don't know if we have a proper co-ordinator this year or not - does anybody have a burning desire to do it? If not, I'm willing to be a central point of something-or-other..

Alrighty, so I emailed the office of letters and light, and it is pretty much a requirement to have won Nano at least once. I have not, so is there anyone willing to do it?
I can help out as much as possible though, with organising write-ins and stuff :-)

Seaside Wrimers..

I seem to recall there being a few Nanowrimers based in Weston-super-Mare on the forums last year - are any of you guys taking the plunge again this year? Are there any other seasiders thinking of paddling their feet in the muddy pool of literary insanity that is Nanowrimo?

How about further afield than Weston - anbody from Burnham? Bleadon? Highbridge? Or Nailsea? Backwell? Clevedon?

Plot woes...

I figured I'd start a new thread for plot stuff, before we end up with a single thread drifting from one topic to another. Not that I'm super-organised or OCD or anything, I just can never be bothered to trawl through pages and pages of thread. ;-)

So, yesterday I was bemoaning my utter lack of plot, but when I left home this morning, I had a title. Now I have a vague plot to go with it.

The title's "The Hitman Upstairs", and I'm going to keep the plot under wraps until it's formed into something a bit more substantial, but as a taster there'll be cooking to a very high standard, and killing to an even higher standard. Hurrah!
