The closest regional lounge to you would be Israel or Turkey. :( Last year, we had one or two people in Dubai, but I'm not aware of anyone else in Saudi.

where were you in saudi? i'm confused... do you miss it or not? i'm in jeddah -- i missed it so much in college that i decided to take a year off before grad school and come back. i'm actually writing about expat-ness (expat-icity? expat-ciousness?), and the particular breed of (mostly brown) girls who return after college abroad and basically sit around waiting to get married (clarification: i am NOT one of them). so its pseudo-fiction i guess, but i figure i gotta start somewhere...

I'm in Abu Dhabi also. But I've only lived here for the last three weeks of June. I'll be here for a long time, though. So maybe the nightlife is out there in Abu Dhabi, but I think I doubt it hahaha.
