Shall we get together for a kick-off party next week?
I think it would be good to have one in your area, so perhaps people want to host one near them? It is up to you.
I am willing to host one in Copenhagen on Wednesday night October 31. Of course that is cutting it close to the starting line, but we can end early. We can do something such as get together for coffee/beer or a light supper at 6pm somewhere, and be done no later than 9pm? That way you can be home in time to be poised at your typewriter at midnight!
We have fancy NaNoWriMopins/buttons!
I am open to any suggestions so please post them here or send me a PM.

LOL!!
Mopins and buttons... yes a new way to bring people to the party!. How are you doing? I am busy with work and a group research project on university internationalization...and of course soon I will write my novella.

If it's in the central part of Copenhagen I'd definitely like to drop by. Got another thing later that evening (some silly gits prefer to celebrate Hallow's Eve on the real day) but it's also close to Cph and not a "be there at this exact time" kind of thing.
Any suggestions for a bar, pub, café or whatnot to meet at?

We do seem to be cutting it a wee bit close so to have some kind of specific suggestion (feel free to come with other and/or better places!) I'd like to point towards Café Sorte Hest on Vesterbrogade. They have a small selection of food and a nice selection of beverages.
It's very rarely crowded or noisy so we should be able to invade their comfy chairs and shuffle them around a bit so we can at least get an occasional glimpse of each other :-)
If nothing else comes up I'll be there from around 5-ish Wednesday - it's right next to where I work - now ain't that just a convenient coincidence ;-)
And in case we actually end up being more than a handful there are quite a few other places nearby where it should be possible to fit in a large party.

Ugh, I did not get to see this suggestion until today due to the forum slownes and not getting a notification but nine others and I are heading down and should see you around 7:30pm/8:00pm....if you are still there! There are quite a few Halloween parties tonight, I see...

Damn! Thought the rest of you were due at 7pm and rushed home to spend som time with my family after meeting with Skjalm and Norwegianne - great hearing about experiences and aspirations. And now I see you probably came at 8, and I would have loved to meet some more wrimo'ers. Ah well, maybe some other time? Good luck, fellas, and may the nanowrimorce be with you!
Damn!

We left at 8.30 pm, so if you came after that, you just missed us.

I'm sure this was not the last nice evening in the company of fellow writers.
