Sign-ups
• Notify your challenge coordinator (flickguy in Texas or tidewaterbound in Maryland) by midnight on November 3 that you want to participate.
• You must provide your challenge coordinator with a valid email address. During the challenge, you must respond to any requests from your challenge coordinator within a maximum of three days so we know you aren’t missing in action.
• Your challenge coordinator will provide a “word count thread” in your regional lounge to track word count. Participants will post ONCE to this thread when instructed by the challenge coordinator. When everyone has posted, the thread will be locked.

Currently we have a grand total of TEN signed up for this year's Challenge with our counterparts, the Texas Lushguins.
I do so apologize for the delay in getting that ready for those of us who have been waiting for it.
For those NEW to NanoWrimo and really want the competitive challenge, the 2007 Challenge is JUST what you've been looking for to keep you on your toes and keep you writing.
While the Challenge isn't for everyone, if you've got a strong competitive spirit, sign up, you will have a whole other realm into the NanoWrimo experience. It's a lot of fun, and our challengers are more than able and willing. We've just gotta show'em what we are made of in Maryland. We're often a quiet state, overlooked, and forgotten. But know this-- 2005, as a REGION, there WE OUT-WROTE EVERYBODY ELSE. (Pardon the caps, but I thought I should put out that reminder. It was a stellar year.)
It's time we took back the laurels we deserve...if you are prolific and have a story to tell, sign up! Write! Do it here, enjoy the challenge, or just do it on your own. (Just do NOT forget to put MARYLAND as your HOME REGION--that's critical because EVERY WORD counts!)
