Okay, so I'm all for participating in at least one write-in, but I work odd hours, including weekend evenings, which kind of sucks as weekends seem to be when most people try to get together. This is my first year, so I'm eager to find some moral support, including those who might be willing to meet during the week. I'm off all day Wednesday and Thursday, although I have a prior engagement Thursday evenings. I also typically work a day shift on Fridays, off by 6:30, so meetups after that would be awesome as well. I would consider hosting something at my place if anyone was interested (I live in Hermitage).
Okay, well, hope to meet some of you soon, and let me know!
Thanks!

Hey.
Welcome to the fold.
Write-ins on weekends sometimes start as early as one or two. So that might be a good option, if anybody gets one started. Haven't noticed anything yet.
I'm still looking for a good East Nashville write-site.

You could try organising your own, perhaps?

Even if no one else ends up being able to make it, at least you are there in the coffeehouse, and you may as well write.

I'll be doing a lot of my writing at the Borders on West End-- if I know in advance when I'll be writing, I'll post and hopefully some of you guys can join me.

They have definitely improved Borders. Much more comfortable.

Hi Jkathryn,

I just started a new job, so I'm not sure what my schedule will be like for November, but I'm pretty sure I could meet on Wednesday or Thursday. I'm in Dickson. Would it be a terrible inconvenience to meet at the Borders books on West End?

Just curious. What are your previous engagement on Thurs. evenings? If it's none of my business, just say, but I was wondering.

I'd be available for an early afternoon write-in on Wednesdays (class lets out just before eleven, but that's down in Columbia, so add drive-time in) and Saturday mornings are always good for me. I like the Borders on West End, but I'm up for just about anywhere, really, as long as I have directions (since I can get lost at the drop of a hat).

Borders on West End would be great :-) Let's aim for a Wednesday? I'm going to the one at Panera in Hermitage on the 14th, but maybe the following week, early afternoon? Say, 1:00?

The 21st is the day before Thanksgiving.

I might be able to amke the 14th? How late? I get off about 3:30 :)

Now I work off of Old Hickory and I took my break at the Walmart on Nolensville. So I'll be writing at the Blimpies there if anyones near by around 1:30 :)

Oh yeah, I guess that is the day before Thanksgiving. Well, I can definitely make that, so if anyone wants to join, just let me know; I may head over there that day regardless. Would love to see you the 14th, ziggy; I'm personally going to head over there early afternoon, maybe around lunch time, but I think fly decided to set the actual time for 3 or 3:30, and I know a friend of mine is going to head over after she gets off work at 4:30, so I can almost guarantee that at least a couple of people will be there at that time. :-)

Okay, so Borders West End on Wednesday the 21st at around 1:00 -- right? I'll be there, unless my current temp job doesn't end on the 16th like they've said it will.

How 'bout another Borders West End date? The Nashville Writers Meet-up's Novelists subgroup meets this Saturday the 10th there at 2:00. I'm going, and I'm planning to stay awhile and write. Anybody wanna join me?

For info about the Nashville Writers Meet-up, go here: http://writers.meetup.com/3/ We're a fun group!

I can certainly make the 14th for a bit, but I don't know about the day before Thanksgiving (I may have to work, since I work retail). I'll let y'all know.

extvwriter, sounds great (for the 21st I mean). I can't do Saturdays, I normally go in about 2:00 on Sat, but this week I'll be in Knoxville for a friend's wedding. That sounds awesome though. I'm all for mid-week meetups or even late night since I usually work until 10:30 or 11:00. (I actually work in TV, heh)

I'm planning to stick around after the Novel Writers Meetup on Saturday as well. I had mentioned it on the meetup website, so maybe we'll have a few others that aren't in this link too.
