I have listed our first write in already mentioned in the Forum, in the Events Callender. You will want to check there to find about future events as they occur. I will repeat event info here.
We'll be meeting Saturday November 3rd at the Villa in Idaho Falls from 2- 4 pm. Come meet fellow writers, get some writing done and have a chance at some of the free goody bags I'll be giving away.
I will be setting up a write in once a week unless I hear that people want to meet more often. In some regions they meet twice a week, but we are small so I don't think that will be necessary. It appears most people preferred nights and weekends so we will try both. If you have a weeknight preference please send me a email with your preference and I will pick a night that is preferred by most people. For those of you who live far away and do not want to travel for a write in, feel free to schedule something in your own town. Attending a write in is not mandatory, just a fun thing to do. I hope to see you on Saturday.

Hello All,
I won't be there. I wish I was but. . .I'll be at a concert in Park City.
I just found out about the Nano today at the library, and here I ended up. I am very interested, I have been working on a couple of ideas that are festering in my brain and have only gotten a few pages actually done, but I'm all excited about this and the Idea of taking a clean run at a whole new hullaballoo, warts and all. I'm definately the type to get excited and then fade without encouragement, so the groups sound cool. I'm involved with a book club that is reading prize-winners (nobel, penn faulkner, pulitzer etc,) and is made up of writers who are a lot older than me (I'm 40), but that just gets me reading out of my normal mode.
Anyhoo, I'll keep in touch via this and hopefully you will all tell me about how wonderful the villa thing goes that i will be utterly compelled to go to the next one.

I'll be there. I'm very excited! This is my fifth NaNo. (Can it really be?) Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays are best in the evening (after 6:30 p.m.), the 9th and 23rd (both Fridays) during the day, and Saturdays during the day are great meeting times for me. I'm happy to try and meet anywhere in the Idaho Falls area.
Though I've been trying for 1 1/2 weeks, this is the first time I've been able to log into the forums. (I think the site has been hammered, especially today.) As a result, I have missed planning for kick-off parties, etc. Though I will try to regularly check out the forums and calendar, would it be possible to include meeting details in the e-mails?

Would someone tell me if they got the emails I tried to send. I thought I would get one too and I haven't so I can't be sure it worked or not. I sent one Wednesday and one Thursday.
It looks like a few of you will make it to the write in and thats exciting. Next week I will try one evening and then perhaps Saturday again. I'll will post those after our first write in is held.
To the person who has no car in Rexburg there are other people writing there so perhaps the two of you can meet or share rides.

Hello! Actually, I just wanted to say I am really excited about trying this whole crazy thing out! Unfortunately, I did not even learn of NaNoWriMo until about the middle of the afternoon on November 2nd, so I was already a little behind the eight ball. However, I decided to go ahead and take on the challenge. So, here I am. I would really like to be able to attend at least one or two of the write-ins, but, I work evenings. The best time for me is the weekend (mid-morning Saturdays, anytime Sundays). Do you think I will be able to participate? If not, I guess I can just go-it alone. I just think it would be a lot more fun to be involved with other writers.

Hello! I am very new to this and a little bit behind. I did not hear about NaNoWriMo until about mid-afternoon on Friday, November 2nd. However, it sounded like a lot of fun and a great challenge to conquer. My only problem is that I would really love to be able to attend at least one or two of the write-ins but seem to have an opposing schedule to the others in this area. I actually work in the evenings. So, really, weekends are much better for me (mid-mornings Saturday, anytime Sunday). Do you think I will be able to participate? If not, I guess I can just go-it alone. It just sounds like a lot more fun to get involved with other writers. Please just let me know.

I have mentioned it and it's not an official write-in, but I'll be at Blastoff tomorrow from about noon to 2pm. I think. We had a fantastic write in on Saturday and 10 people showed up. There was a lot of sharing and exchanging of information. It was really great. The group liked that time so we will have a write in at the Villa every Saturday in November from 2-4.
Welcome Jessica, I'd love to see you at a write in too. It is so hard to schedule things that everyone can come to. I could meet on a Sunday afternoon maybe at Starbucks on Broadway or Barnes and Noble might work out.. If anyone else wants to meet on a Sunday, please let us know here.
Hopefully those who can meet in the day will be able to go to LadyNighstars meeting today. I have a meeting at 1 pm so I am not sure I will be able to come.
I hope all the writing is going well, I know I am behind on my word count working hard to catch up.

Well no one showed up for the extra write in at Barnes and Noble, You all must have had a change in plans. I waited twenty minutes and figured that no one was coming so I left. We'll go back to our weekly thing, at the Villa as it does seem to work the best.. I am also asking for suggestions for the TGIO party. So far we have the Blue Hashi, Garcia's and The Brownstone. Plans are to have it on Saturday December 1st. Let me know your preferences.

Saturday was great. Thanx Kate! I would've loved to do Sunday, but the whole wife and kids and church thing got in the way.

For all you die hards we are having another Write in the Saturday at the Villa 2 pm -4 . We couldn't get the room so we'll just put a few tables together and meet in the general area. If this is your first write in look for the Nanowrimo tent on the table. I hope to see some of you.
