I thought I would give this a go >> But anyways, all the older people get to go to a bar on Thursday morning, but of course, a few of us are either too far away from downtown SB or too young to go to a bar (ahaha), so what about doing something at school? I don't want to make it terribly official or anything like that, but it would just be chill to go and meet up with each other before running off to class or whatever. I would suggest we eat lunch or something together, but because I live in Tropicana Gardends, our meal plan doesn't extend to the campus (and I don't want to pay $10 to eat at like... DLG or something like that).
Classes for me go from 12 to anytime between 2 and 3 on Thursday (depending on how long our Writing professor wants to keep us in class after the one hour mark). So maybe... we can meet up at the UCen before then? Or after? or during that time and just prolong it until I can get there, whatever.
If you can't make it on Thursday (heaven knows, I like to leave Trop at 11:30 after eating lunch and just walking to French lol), feel free to add me on facebook (Anna Cylkowski, yo) and/or comment here and we can always try to organize something else on campus! Hope to hear from some of you soon!

That sounds like a plan, actually! Thursday afternoon at 4pm sound good to you? I'm up for meeting at UCen so we can write, write, write to our hearts' content. I'm not really sure where in the UCen there are plugs for laptops, though. Maybe somewhere down in The Hub there are places? I'd have to check, but I'll be hanging out there Tuesday afternoon so I can look into that.
I look forward to seeing you on Thursday. I'll add you on Facebook momentarily.

Mmmm.... I know there are a few by the brick columns that they have in the back, but there's only about two or four... and then there are a few over on the tables on the side of Niccoletti's.
And added you back!

Hello, UCSB (and, I hope, some SBCC) ...
This is writerdude, your Municipal Liaison. I don't know the UCSB campus very well, or Isla Vista, so I kind of let UCSB do its own thing and inform me as wanted or needed. I've attended a couple of write-ins and brought my goodies, and I enjoy meeting students--been a long time since I was one, or even since I was teaching them, and I miss it.
As goes for everyone, let me know if you want an event posted. If you want to broaden participation, give specific directions and times and how you can be recognized.
If I can get giveaway goodies to you somehow, let me know. I'm pretty busy this week, but I might be able to bike into campus or have someone meet me at home (the goodies have prestige value for NaNoWriMo but truly aren't that much to get excited about independently...)
Good luck!

Ah, thanks for the heads up! I'm just hoping we can get a bit of participation--don't care for it being too formal right now. I'm still in the middle of midterms, but once those end I want to try and get something bigger so I'll be sure to ask you about that :D

Unfortunately I have to work on Thursday afternoons so I'll miss kick off. Hopefully we'll be able to organize some more novelling sessions in the UCen or somewhere else on campus. It'd be a nice way to spend time between classes.

Whenever! On Tuesdays and Fridays, I'm on campus because of a discussion at 10, but then at 11 I have an hour/two hour break before my next class, so I can always hang out after~ just message me ahead of time so I can bring laptop/notebook and chill 8D!
