One of the things we discussed at last night's Kick-off party was things that can help us meet the 50k finish line.

My suggestion was to use Google Docs. Their word processor app is pretty darn good, and of course, you can use it anywhere you can access the internet. Top notch.

Other ideas:
* Don't think of your NaNo writing as the next Hemingway or Grisham. NaNo is about writing alot, not writing well.
* Turn off your inner editor (ok, that's basically the same as the above point, but it bears repeating)
* Set a goal. Don't just wait for inspiration. NaNo is about putting words on the screen everyday, in order to build the habit of writing often. I found that when I set a goal that was strenuous but not insane, I worked more diligently to achieve it. (Last year that was 5000 words a day, and it went pretty well for the most part; and when my work-life got hectic, I had slack to cover it)
* Find a word-war buddy and try to beat them

What helps you? Please share!

I like to think about what I'm going to write the next day as I'm falling asleep at night. Quite often in that twilight state, I'll get things worked out so I only have to put it down on paper the next day. I also do this during playtime, lunch, bathroom break, whenever I'm not actively doing something.

Good advice posted already. I only have one thing to add - let adjectives, and lots of them, be your best friend ;)

after reading your adjective advice, did some hunting and came across this list, thought it may help inspire a few extra words from us, hehe

Hmm, that's actually pretty interesting. I'd given some idle thought to that issue before, but never really looked into. Thanks!
