Per our custom, we'll have the TGIO Victory Party at the Champagne Brunch held at the Holiday Inn in front of Madison Square Mall, beginning at 11 AM on Sunday, December 2, 2007 (the first Sunday after Nano ends). Unless there is a postive outcry of nay-sayers, we'll stick with that date to avoid our multiple kick-off confusion.
Definitely mark your calendars for December 2 at 11 AM, all you winners, decent effort and let's try this again next year Wrimos!
All are welcome and bring the family + plus small writerly gifts for our tickets-to-write drawing.
Also, be sure to remember to take your tickets from your Wrimo Expedition pack, write your name and word count for each day you write and bring them along for the drawing. It's a lot of fun. Writing the date of each daily effort on your tickets is optional, but sometimes intriguing.
Wow, we are just so ready to party!

Hoping I can make it this year...though I do have one question. The fact that this is a "Champagne" Brunch won't exclude those of us not of drinking age, will it? I happen to turn 21 on Dec 4! I didn't come last year for just that reason. Either way, I still say it stinks to be two days too young to really enjoy it, lol.

Shorea,
Oh no this is an open to everyone TGIO Party. The hotel offers the champagne and loads of under 21 are always there. I understand about the under 21 thing, but I am sure you will have a good and safe time two days later.

The first year the Holiday Inn allowed us to have a free room by ourselves as long as we promised around 20 people. The next two years was at that long table with stools in the bar area, where about twenty people could sit, 10 on each side. In the first case we socialized mostly with people at our own table, and in the bar we got to talk to more people. Both were nice, but I vote for the bar again if we could be sure of getting that area.
