A big hello to all the writers from India! We probably have one of the fastest growing forums, though it is a shame to see that we are not yet at 100. But we'll get there, I'm sure.
Anyway, down to business:
1) Regional event calendar: The regional events calendar can be accessed via the link below. This calendar will show local event that your ML's have added. If your city does not have an ML and you need an event added to this calendar, then please write in to one of the two ML's for India. (More on ML's below).

2) Municipal Liaisons or ML's: These are people who have been designated organizers for local write-ins and to moderate forums and so on. Of course, they have some superpowers that the regular members of the forums do not (including, but not limited to, posting regional events on the calendar). There are at present two ML's for India, one in Bangalore and the other in Hyderabad.
You can get in touch directly with either of the MLs at their given addresses. ML's also monitor the forums fairly regularly so you can ask your questions or raise your concerns there, too. You may periodically get emails from the ML's announcing events, etc. or just trying to boost morale. Please do read them as they may contain important and relevant information for your city.

3) Volunteers: For those cities that do not have ML's designated, any of the writers can volunteer to organize write-ins and events. We have already had one such volunteer organize our very first Kick-off party at Chennai. A big thanks to Chittz! You can write in to either of the ML's to be a volunteer and we will put your name up on one of these threads, for everyone to see.
4) Mailing lists for Cities: We can have mailing lists on Yahoo or Google for city-specific announcements and interests. If you know that there are enough people in the city who are interested, you can go ahead and form your own mailing list. Inviting an ML to be part of it is optional.
