(I only saw one guy post that he was doing a chick lit... correct me if I'm wrong!!)

Anyways, regardless of gender, I just wanted to say good luck to my fellow Chick Lit writers as we swiftly approach the official beginning of NaNoWriMo! May your pens and keyboards be swift, may your characters be witty and 3-dimensional, and may you not succumb to the dreaded Inner-Editor-may-he-die-1000-painful-deaths!

GOOD LUCK!

Yes, may your inner editors get lost in a trick-or-treating induced sugar daze and leave you alone!

Here are some quotes that I love. Hopefully they will prove inspiring!

And by the way, everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise. The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt. ~Sylvia Plath

The story I am writing exists, written in absolutely perfect fashion, some place, in the air. All I must do is find it, and copy it. ~Jules Renard, "Diary," February 1895

The good writing of any age has always been the product of someone's neurosis, and we'd have a mighty dull literature if all the writers that came along were a bunch of happy chuckleheads. ~William Styron, interview, Writers at Work, 1958

i never think at all when i write
nobody can do two things at the same time
and do them both well
~Don Marquis, Archy's Life of Mehitabel, 1933

and my personal fav...

No man should ever publish a book until he has first read it to a woman. ~Van Wyck Brooks

Go girls! (and boy!)

Yes, good luck to us all! I'll be at my keyboard at 12:01, munching Halloween candy and putting those first words on the next American best-seller. (Snicker.) But I am psyched and ready.

Here's to a fab month, may it be more fun than hair-tearing difficult. :)
