This is always a hoot. I'll start:
Fortune gets punched out by her rockstar (he wishes) boyfriend the same day she finds out she's inherited a beach cabin in a logging town at the southern tip of the Puget Sound. She packs up and says hasta to Portland and discovers her great aunt Millie was a bit witchy when Fortune accidentally casts a spell binding a Elf King to her side. Hilarity ensues.

This might not make sense, but hey, that seems to be par for the course around here...
Semi-depressed business owner cuts ties with mistress who dies, fakes amnesia (complete with head wound) to get out of the mess. Murderer/business partner tries to convince MC that MC committed the crime, MC must prove that business partner actually did it without being dismissed as forgetful nut job.
Cheers!

Located in the middle of Europe, Berlin is a place where some of the most important history of the western world has happened, especially in the 20th century. What happens when you see those events through the eyes of the people who lived there instead of the narrative of the historian who knows all the hidden facts.

Wow...I just realized what a boring summary sentence this is:
The lives of two lovers from the turn of the century to World War 1.
So I think I'll replace it with this:
A romance about the death of Romanticism and the eternity of two people's love.
That's way cornier but also more suave. ;)

Juicy plotiness! Hopefully this explains the two interweaving plotlines sufficiently.
Jesse discovers his newly-acquired ability to turn into pure energy, albeit with little control, comes in handy in his job as the bodyguard to one of the most highly respected political figures in their sector of the galaxy and as a spy for said political figure. As he tries to save his homeworld from alien terrorists with plans on blowing up the planet, he also tries to save the marriage of his cousin, who is married to Jesse's ex-wife but cheating on her with an exotic alien dancer.

He discovers that his love of strip clubs, beer and atheism are seen as weaknesses too horrible to overcome - so he decides to turn them into strengths.

Here goes!
Thirteen hundred years into the future, the world government rules with an iron fist and women have no rights and are used as breeding machines, because the government killed off too many women a hundred years prior during the witch hunts. Now a sixteen year old girl who was kept under lock and key so she'd reach sixteen as a virgin to be sold off to a rich man, an onryo, the sole heir to the long dead royal family, a man raised by yamamba with a Neil Gaiman quote tattoed onto his back, Paracelsus, a girl revolutionary whose entire philosophy is based off the only book she's ever read The Wizard of Oz, a male prostitute, a necromancer, a woman who can travel through mirrors, a jerk, a guy who killed his brother, a guy whose father was a sadistic serial killer, Adam, Eve, Lilith, and a few others are all going to end up changing the world. Oh, and it's a re-telling of Arthurian legend.
Man, that was hard.
