Gauteng Write-in Schedule, First Draft:
Midrand based:
Sunday 18 November - 2pm to 4pm @ Mugg & Bean in Carlswald Lifestyle Centre (same place as the kick off)
Sunday 25 November - 2pm to 4pm @ Mugg & Bean in Carlswald Lifestyle Centre
Pretoria based:
Wednesday 14 November - 6pm to 8pm @ Mugg & Bean in Brooklyn Mall (or Menlyn if you prefer, but Menlyn M&B does not have wifi coverage)
Johannesburg based:
Saturday 10 November – 2pm @ Mugg & Bean in Cresta (independently hosted by ImaWritersBlock, please use this thread for RSVPing or questions: http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/node/1039425)
Info about the write-ins:
- The main reason for a write in is to all work on our novels together. So when attending, remember to bring something to write with / on. Anything that gets your creative juices flowing: laptop, pen & paper, typewriter, funky little Braille machine, etc.
- There will probably be some chatting involved so everyone can socialise and just hang out with fellow writers. If needed, though, we can have timed writings of say... 20/minutes of solid writing where no chatting is allowed.
- There might be some sort of prize for making a pre-set target during a write in. Random bits of candy works well, I've been told. Yay for sugar rush.
- I have more official NaNo stickers for those wanting loot, so if you didn’t like the one you received at kick-off (or you couldn’t attend and didn’t receive any), you can grab one of the others at the write-ins. The stickers look like this: http://store.lettersandlight.org/product_image.php?imageid=142
You can choose to attend as many or as few write-ins as you like, no pressure. Should you want to attend, please let the host know in advance so we can attempt to make sure there is adequate power supply for all those bringing their laptops with.

Doh, now I can't make it on the 11th. You'd think after all this time people would have learned to leave me alone in November.
Okay, ammended schedule, I WILL be at the following places on the following dates:
Midrand based:
Sunday 18 November - 2pm to 4pm @ Mugg & Bean in Carlswald Lifestyle Centre (same place as the kick off)
Sunday 25 November - 2pm to 4pm @ Mugg & Bean in Carlswald Lifestyle Centre
Pretoria based:
Wednesday 14 November - 6pm to 8pm @ Mugg & Bean in Brooklyn Mall (or Menlyn if you prefer, but Menlyn M&B does not have wifi coverage)
Fellow NaNonians are welcome to join me at these venues for a write-in. You can choose to attend as many or as few write-ins as you like, no pressure. Should there be a need, I can attempt to squeeze more write-ins in, but these should more or less cover us.

*pokes the dead horse with a stick*
You know, I'm all for peace and quiet, but some types of quiet is very disconcerting.
Regardless of what happens, I will still be at the following times/dates/locations:
14 Nov - 6pm to 8pm @ Mugg & Bean in Brooklyn Mall, Pretoria
18 Nov - 2pm to 4pm @ Mugg & Bean in Carlswald Lifestyle Centre, Midrand
25 Nov - 2pm to 4pm @ Mugg & Bean in Carlswald Lifestyle Centre, Midrand
Even if it means sitting by myself looking like an idiot. Seeing as how I am a bit of a self confessed idiot, the impression wouldn't be far off the mark. ^.~ I mentioned that these dates were not set in stone and if anyone wanted to suggest something better we could discuss it and see if we can't come to a more accommodatable arrangement, yes?

I know how sitting by yourself feels but unfortunately this year my support is going to be a big fat zero...Least I have fuel for my story but if I can do something to attend I'll be sure to post...
Know I'm thinking of being there if that helps at all :P

Depends. Will your thinking be followed by a sound that sounds suspiciously like "Mwhahahaha"?
If so, then yes, I will randomly remember it during the course of the evening/afternoon and grin in a mysterious, you-had-to-be-there sort of way. This will make it look like I am writing something much more interesting than it really is.

Sigh- and after looking forward to this all week, I have to go to a one year olds birthday party! Somehow I doubt my cousin's kid will notice if I'm there or not- but wanna bet my aunt would have a few choice words to my mother if I didn't pitch? LOL

Meh, no worries. Life does like to slap one upside the head during the month of November. I'm just glad to be able to sit down and have some coffee after being dragged all across town shopping all morning. Hate shopping >.<
Come to think of it, I should be writing now, should I? *sheepish*
