Did the meets go ahead on Friday? I was unable to attend any as I had to go to my partner's works Christmas do (I know, I don't know either), but I do want to go to future meets.

Besides that, how is everyone getting on? How are we feeling? I see some scary big numbers for some of you...

I didn't get to the Cheltenham meet on Friday, and unfortunately haven't heard any interest from anyone about getting together in Stroud. Is Chelt having another meeting this coming week?

Given we're only on day 4 (and I haven't written anything yet today - I just got up!) then I'm very happy with having got to 10k... it's actually a bit less hard than I thought! How's everyone else getting on?

I have only actually managed to write on two days so far - Thursday, when I got a mere 1000 words done, and Sunday, when that increased to 5250 or so. I'm hoping to settle into it more, and I actually have a reasonable amount of free time the next couple of weekends, so I'm still hopeful of catching up.

I'm still in the "discovery" phase (since I did no outlining whatsoever), which is actually in some respects the easiest part - you just write and create and don't worry how it fits together or where it's going. This is why starting novels is so much easier than finishing them...

Approaching the 6K mark and finding it tough to be left alone enough to write.

Still hack for my lunchhour today and added another 1k, got a couple of hours free this evening and a day off looming on Friday so confident that I can bust 10K by the weekend.

However I am consoling myself by thinking that 5K words is 10% of the total. Yay!!!

Keep at it peeps :o)

I'm not able to attend this Friday, cause of family visits, and I'm fairly sure that most of the people that DID attend will be going to the nightclub Judder on Friday, so we'll probably not meet up this week - but we can do a couple of write ins next week and the week after if anyone is interested.

We WILL definately be meeting up a week on Friday (16th) at the Restoration/Varsity - and I'll have some impromtu presents and awards to give out, so come with your wordcount, and your thoughts on your work, and see if you 'win' anything ;)
