Westerner here. Near Culver City. Haven't seen any meetups, though.

I work at Olympic and Sawtelle, haven't heard of any meetups other than the one in Santa Monica.

Hey Susanne,

So far I only know of saturday 12 Noon at the Novel Cafe. You can always schedule you own anytime. Tell the leader or whatever they are called and post it on the calender. I'll be at novel sat. with my ibook and blue/back shoulder bag.

Hi All!

I live in West Hollywood. I just moved here in August. So far I really like it here - and really like working on NaNo out here. I haven't gone to any of the of write-outs, but going to try to do so soon!

Best of luck to everyone!

If anyone's interested in places to gather in West LA a new Starbucks opened a couple of weeks ago on Centinella and Jefferson (which is the closest place to me) it doesn't have much traffic yet so it'll provide a quiet place to work in the afternoons/evenings. They close at 9pm. There's also a cute cafe on Braddock and Sepulveda called Synergy Cafe. It's a really chill place with good ambiance and plenty of couch/table space. Braddock is one block south of Culver for those of you who aren't familiar with the area.

Anyone else have suggestions? :)

Greetings Westies,

I went to Novel Cafe today but didn't find anyone. Is it still going?

I think I'm going to try that Synergy Cafe on Braddock tonight, that someone mentioned. Still got about 10k to go!

Yeah, that was a nice place. Lots of space, comfortable couches, about a five minute drive from me. It was comedy open mic night, but I didn't let that distract me! Got another 2k down, so I'm feeling good. My characters continue to surprise me. :)

Almost there! Good luck everyone!

Synergy is one of my favorite spots, indeed. Best of luck to you in pounding out those last few thousand words :D

There's a place called Tanners on the opposite side of the street, a block or so north of Synergy, for anyone who is interested. They have less live music and crowds in the evenings, so that's worked for me.

I can't believe I'm not done yet! I can't believe it's not butter!
