I placed this before in Character/Plot Realism but didn't seem to get much feedback so...
My MC in my story is basically dying of AIDS. At some point she meets a boy who turns around the way she views the world. What I'm a little stuck on -and I want to hear some stories- are small cute gestures/dates/comments he could make that would be...funny/cute/just plain weird.
I already have a few ideas but keep in mind that the guy is a little weird. He's not like...collect your own scabs type of weird but he has his own views and theories on the world and likes to be out of the norm. He says things others won't because it's embarrassing. Like...saying hot chocolate is good for the soul and being completely and utterly serious at the same time.
So...any ideas or stories to share?

One of the things that my wife loved to do before she met me and then took with her to do on one of our first dates was to wander around expensive hotels. She would walk in acting like she owned the place and take the elevator up to one of the lounges and sit and read whatever happened to be laying around. She dragged me with her on one of our early dates so we could do something "she did." She figured that if the public could get in, it was a public place.
I don't know if this is what your looking for but it was odd, but really pleasent. Especially since some of the places she took me to where her "alone places." (Who ever thought that a particular chair in a hotel lobby would be a college girl's hangout spot.?
----------Just remember, Keep looking up!
