We're only beginning week 2, but it is time to start discussing our Thank God it's Over Party.
Two years ago, we met at the Mucky Duck in teh early evening and shared stories around the fire pit there. Last year, we planned ot meet at teh Duck earlier in the day, but found out that the new owners cut their daytime hours. We quickly retreated to a cafe across the street, and shared our stories over lunch.
I figured I would throw the idea out there again and see what people are interested in doing. The TGIO party is a great opportunity to share a small piece of what you have done over the last month with others who shared your experience. The idea of passing around a small excerpt seems to have gone over well the last couple years, and because of this, a venue that is somewhat quiet makes for a good place.
If you have any ideas for location or preferences for a date and time, please let me know. Also, if you plan on attending the party, please let me know so I can get a good headcount and make arrangements.

I am leaving town on November 29, and will be back late in the day on the 7th of December. The 8th is the holiday party for the RWA chapter so Marianne and I will both be off to that. The earliest day I could really do anything is Sunday the 9th.
But don't let me hold y'all back.

OK, we aren;t getting a whole lot of discussion on here about this, so I am going to set a tentative date and time, then tweak it if we need to adjust for anyone.
Talking to people at write-ins, it doesn't seem like a weekend date will work if we want to have it anytime in the next couple weeks. Because of this, I suggest we set it on Wednesday Dec 12Let's meet at 6:30 at Bad Ass Coffee in Seaside. Meeting there will give us a chance to offfer up thanks to the owners for hosting us and staying late all month long. They've moved their closing time until 8, so we shoudl have plenty of time to share bits of our stories and experiences.
All are welcome, even if you didn't manage to finish. Come, share your nano experience and a bit of your what you wrote. If you didn;t have chance to get swag, I should have some left to hand out to you.
If for some reason the date/time does not work for you, feel free to post about it here. This is still far enough off that we can make adjustments if it works for everyone.

Dec 12th sounds great to me. I'll need to check a few things, but I don't think it would be a problem. It will be great to get to meet all of you. Sorry I couldn't make any of the write ins. I just met 50K today, so yay me!! I did it, finally.
