the only person who knows about it is my best friend. =) and she thinks it's stupid.

No idea what they would say, I haven't told them...
If I did, they would think I had lost my mind for doing something as crazy as writing a novel in a month.
I think I would agree with them that I HAVE lost my mind...lol.

I've gotten nothing but support from everyone.

i've only told my father, who thinks it's nuts but asks if i've worked on my writing every day, and a couple of friends who also think it's a crazy thing to do but fun.

a few people have asked me if I'm insane. My parents are excited to have something else to tell their friends about me, though my mother was asking me today what happens after november and if this means I'm going to be publishing. A few of my friends have indulged my talking about nothing else, though I'm trying not to bug everyone I know with the details of it. I just wish that more people I regularly spend time with were doing it, so I wouldn't be the only nutter.
I was telling my friend back in teh states that had told me about it in the first place about the word counts I've been racking up, and apparently he wasn't at all surprised. I was sure that it was going to be a reall challenge for me (knock wood) as I've never written a single piece that was more than 14 pages, and the thought of 50 000 words was really daunting. It's been coming along so well that I'm almsot nervous that the other show is going to drop and I'm going to get stranded at 35000 with nothing to do for it...

My friends are used to the fact that I often get involved with crazy ideas via the internet (hence the fact that I'm typing this post with my newest craze, the dvorak keyboard), so they just think it's funny. They all want to read the story because they're convinced they're in it (they are, but they still can't read it!).
My family overseas is extremely supportive. Too supportive. They're telling everyone that I'm about to publish a best-seller. I've tried to crack down on it, but they choose to continue in their delusional state.
And my husband has been perfect. He makes sure I get time to write every day. He also reads what I show him with enthusiasm, but doesn't insist on reading every thing I write (which is good, because most of it is crap).
