Hello everyone,

I'm going to lock myself into the Borders on West End on Tuesday, November 20th (yes, 2 days before Thanksgiving, I know) most of the day to write.

Can anyone make it to come join me? I'm thinking probably noon until as late as possible (I'll even try to stay until 10pm, closing time, but we'll see how hardcore I am). I'll probably be sitting at the table in the back upstairs by the foreign language section, uness there is an event on, in which case you can look for me in the coffee shop area. I wont have a sign, but I will be typing on an alphasmart, have lots of yellow hair, chunky black glasses, and dress like a bum. You can't miss me.

Could one of the mods please put this on the calendar, as well?

Really, the more the merrier. They allow food and drinks in the store, and the Coffeeshop there is top-notch. There is a breathless girl who sells gingerbread lattes. You'll love her.

Sorry but I'll probably go home after work to pack for our trip to Indy.

I'll try to make it, but I can't commit until probably late next week. If I'm able to make it, it will probably be around 6 p.m.

For those of you not at the Novel Writers Meetup Saturday, you missed a moving Lauren Bacallesque intercom advertisement for a gingerbread latte. I asked about it, but it didn't come with a cigarette for afterwards, so I opted out. I can however give a thumbs up to the cappuccino.

Later,

Kerry

Adding it to the calendar as we speak.
Don't know if I can make it or not, but good luck... If you work it just right, you could seriously manage to finish then!

I'll be there -- early if I can (i.e., if I'm not working), otherwise after work.

And yes, I have written more than 428 words... I just haven't typed them up yet.

Gonna get an alphasmart someday,
Genia

I can maybe stop by for a little while before I go to work... I'm also planning on spending some time in the same spot on Wednesday, for anyone who's still around and wants to join. I had plans to go to the Panera meet-up in Hermitage this week but unexpectedly had to work Wednesday (so sorry, fly! Could we try again the week after Thanksgiving maybe? One last hurrah, so to speak?), so I need to spend one long day just write write writing because I am WAAAAAAY behind.

I may be able to pop by on Wednesday, too, depending on how work goes, and how much I love my novel after spending 10 hours with it the day before. How can we identify you?

I have crazy, curly black hair, I may or may not be wearing my glasses, and I look like your typical college student that's no longer actually a student. :-)

I'm planning on starting in the cafe...
I'll be there as late as possible; I am going to see Feist that night, so I'll have to leave at some point to go meet my friend for the show...

Yay guys, tommorow!

If you do manage to pop in and spot me, please say hi! I look far scarier than I am and will need all the moral support you have to offer.

I'll definitely be there Tuesday and Wednesday. (The job ended last Friday, and I have days and days with nothing to do but write!)

I'll be around the cafe and/or the 2nd-floor-back-corner area where the meet-ups meet. I'm easy to spot -- red hair, reading glasses, spiral notebook, "John Edwards 08" tee shirt.

See you there!
Genia

Keep an eye out for me. I'm the plus-size, bespectacled geriatric with the totally spaced-out look. Looking like a thrift shop rack.

Hi guys, great write-in!

I ended up coming home early, and leaving Borders at 8:15-- but that's 8 1/4 hours... and a total of 6,178 words! :D :D :D

I'm so relieved, now I have the rest of the week to actually get *real* work done. I still don't have a plot, but that's apparently not a problem, so that's fine.

It was great to meet a few live humans. That's not a bad place to write. I'll probably still hang at Bongo East when I need to get out of the house, though, since it's only a hop away from home.

Can I admit stupididty?
For some reason, the past week has been weird and I've not been able to keep track of what day it is...
So I went on the wrong day and then I missed you guys and blah..
And I wasn't even going to write, just to give out goody bags.

Glad you managed 6k... I'm about 15k behind or something rediculous.
