We've had a contact from a reporter for this local paper requesting to interview an AL North Wrimo. Would any of you care to respond?

I saw the other thread about it ... does it count if we're really struggling this year and don't make a very inspiring story? :)

Kristen,
Uh, duh, I didn't realize that B had done such a fulsome post. Please go ahead and respond to the email he listed. I'm sure she'd like all she can get as her deadline looms.
Thanks!

Oh, I've got words... just not words worth sharing. This is the first year I've utterly hated my story from the very beginning, with no redeeming excerpts whatsoever.
I emailed the lady anyway, since I wasn't sure anyone else had, just to make sure she had something.

I too sent something to the woman. She replied and said she appreciated it. I don't know how many of us actually sent her something but I will definitely be searching for a Valley Planet come Tuesday AM.
I feel a lot more ambivalent about what I'm writing this year than I did each of the other two years I did it. I still have almost no idea where I'm going or where I'll end up and I'm already almost to the half way point. So I may very well turn out 50,000 words. Of course, I may feel like burning them after the month is over. I don't know. This one has its moments. They're just rare and special. Maybe I can salvage them from the rest of the wreckage at some point.
All right, back to the word count.

Cool.
I did see that the Valley Planet has a PDF edition online each week, so if we can't find paper copies, at leas we can see that.
I think one reason we do Nano in November is so, if we feel like burning them afterwards, we get the lovely heat from it. :-)
I did auto-summarize on mine for a laugh (that always gets suggested in the forums somewhere) and apparently my entire novel is about people introducing themselves to each other. And I am *not* writing lit fic.
