This is a good time to make up any ground you might have lost in the early stages ... see if you can't add an extra 200-500 per day over the next three days. It makes a huge difference to the final dash to the line!

I have about 600 words left to my halfway line, which is awesome. I have just introduced the plot. It's incredible seeing how my novel is finally taking shape - what started as a few little ideas I thought might be good have taken shape and actually become something. It is the first time I've ever managed something like this and I'm beginning to find it quite a humbling experience. That's not to say I don't recognise a lot of what I've written is just ramblings to up my word count... but the story is still moving. I didn't want to write when I woke up this morning, and now I'm beginning to see why I'm doing this! Bring on the next 25k!
