Guess what? NaNoWrimo sent over the OFFICIAL stickers for NaNo (which will be familiar to the ones who attended the writeup).
But these are the real deal, unlike what you might have seen which were just printed in lieu of NaNo sending over the actual things. :D
So anyone who wants them can come see me at the next writein.
I suggest Amcorp again, same place and probably time.
:( Sorry can't see you on weekdays Chet but hope we can schedule a TGIO party that you can attend.
Time: 10.30am
Place: Starbucks Amcorp
Date: 17/11/2007
It's cosy and has Internet. And the rule is - you must write your daily quota of 1667 while you're there. We'll have a few writer kickstart activities in the beginning.
Or we could have it at Marcos Pizza at Kelana LRT :p No internet though but if you don't have a laptop, you can either write skeletons of what you will put on your computer later or pick the brains of your fellow Wrimos...without interrupting their flow of thought too much, though.

Im there! And probably dragging another Wrimo along this time.
That is if we're not too hung over from alcohol from our annual dinner the night before.
But OOH stickers! I feel young again!

I was just about to ask when the next one was :D
Call me dependant if you want, but having internet & coziness & quietness > pizza.
But dammit, pizza. :(
kk, well this thread gives me a good starting point for number of Firefly DVDs I have to burn. If you're coming please state that you are. The _only_ valid reason for declining a Firefly DVD is that you already own a set, and have watched the entire series. This show is a linguaphile's dream.
I'm worried about hitting me word count without actually having a means to write it on. Maybe I could write it beforehand and print out a 'fill-in-the-blank' version for me to do there? You know, just to show willing. So long as I don't actually have to pick up a pen. I just did a mid-term, I don't want to see my handwriting again. :(

I can be there. Who sez I can't? The last time was cuz I forgot it was a public holiday.
But I can't promise to complete 1,667 words. What I can do is cheer the rest of you on who are behind in your word count.

I probably can't make it.
The company I work for has decided to have a team building exercise over the coming weekend. Can you sense my excitement? No? Because there isn't any! Firstly I'm going to lose a weekend spent tramping through the swamps and performing tasks with names like 'The Samurai Warrior' and 'The Stargate'. Whoever designed these courses watches a lot of action flicks I take it. Secondly, I'll be missing this wonderful write-in, AND the Aynwyn costume exhibition. Thirdly, anyone with functional critical faculties can tell you there is little value in these team-building exercises, except to stimulate the economy. And don't think for a moment we get monday and tuesday off to replace those days, ohnonono.
So, I guess I'm not coming, but I'll be there in spirit, although I'll be a little grumpy.

I couldn't attend the last one cos I had other obligations that day, but will try my hardest to attend this one. The main pull: Firefly!! I hope you ARE a person of your word, sigma83, or I shall be very disappointed..
