I'm speechless. I have nothing. Which is rare.

I guess the only plus is that there was not everything on this hard drive. I'm talking about my work Mac... I took yesterday off for a stress/sick/nano day, and it went so well. They tried to do something on my account while I was gone, and it accidentally wiped everything. I had close to half on my computer. I wish they had given me a chance to back everything up, you know... just in case.

Even worse is that I had been dropping my chapters onto the network so that I can access them from my PC. What did I do right before I left work Tuesday? Yeah, I deleted it. I didn't want everyone in my work place to have access to my story. And then, forgot to email it all to myself like I had planned.

Any moron knows to create a backup of all the information on a computer before you start playing around with it.

Well, obviously not ANY moron, but you know what I mean.

Speaking as someone whose hard drive died right before NaNo began, my profound sympathy.

This is why I am glad I was reminded to back up yesterday. Cause you just never know.

But I second the moron thing. I mean, who wipes without giving the user a chance to back up?

They didn't mean to wipe it out... it just happened... I'll never fully understand. I'll just sulk in yummy latte goodness and try to get the motivation to keep going...
