It's so not fair, I have been trying to write, and it is not writer's block that is stoping me to write, but a blooming cold, i can get a little done at a time, but it is not enough and i am falling behind soooo badly. Can anyone help me a little. I keep having these little bursts when I can write loads, then it will tapper off again, My cold is still around, so i'm a little miffed. lol. And only an hour ago, i have lost a lot of my work becuse the computer went nutty. All the planning that i did, has gone, it only took me a few days to do, but those few days were valuble. argh help!!!!! lol.
Anyone else haveing woes at the moment with their writing?

I have wrist and arm pains that i get every year so its a frantic typefest to try and cross the line before they EXPLODE in addition i have a really nasty cough which had made my face hurt, ive found i cough hugely every 29 words!!!
Also you have a slight bit of fortune now, no plan means you can do ANYTHING so go on, add in the stupid bits that would never work, give that MC a hardtime and make him WORK for his ending! (maybe to a waynes world and have different endings!)

That would be nice, except it is set in medievil england and during the plague, it had notes about Last Rites, confession and plague symptoms, as well as names that people would be using duing that time, and clothes to discribe lol. all gone, *sobs* little notes of good sill things to plonk in that would be acceptable for the time, and that which is a pain. I almost lost all my work so far, so glad i had a little back up of what i had done
and for tired arms and hands, have a nice relaxing bath at the end of the day, it helps, make sure to have bubbles too. Think of it as a treat after writing the number of words you wanted in the day. :D

heh, my treat for hitting my target is to make the target harder for the next day... todays target is write another 10k words so I can finish this Hellish task on Sunday! heh
Might be worth having Wiki open while doing it and maybe changing the story a little? maybe there are rumours of a Cure for the plague and the MCs task is to get to to save his dying mother and his pet dog called Rex... *shrugs* maybe heh.
If things start going bad just make it up as you go. Now I am sorry but I must go and drag out this section more, im running out of story now!

Ooooh, a plague story! I always found this perios kinda fascinating. We read a play at school in English called the Roses of Eyam, which was the same type thing, an outbreak in a village in Derbyshire. They have a helluva lot of information as it's part of their town history, so possibly do a google search for Eyam in Derbyshire for plague, and see what you find? There should be a fair bit. I think.
As for the getting behind.... *pets* I found it helpful to go with vague ideas i your head and let the words and story shape around them. Also, if you've got computer/wellness issues, try handwriting? It doesn't have to be everything, but when you do have the opportunity to type stuff up, it's both already done, and you wont be quite so far behind

Thanks, i've almost hit the 20,000 point.
oh and i lost everything last night, the computer messed up, so i've used the laptop for a while to redo everything, i am sooooooooooo thankful that i have had nothing to do today, or last night. i have redone everything i had, it has changed slightly, but i remembered most of it. thankfull i had the first scene already, its posted here lol. i lost all my research and that, so i had to do that last night (after i lost everything, such a pain), i have had no sleep so am really going to drop at any moment, lol. shall be fun,
I am now backing everything up at least three times on three different things, one usb pen (borrowed of a mate), my mp3, and the laptop, that does not inclued the PC lol.
i'll ahve a look around for that play, sound intresting. I hope i can finish mine, really want to lol. :D
