Well, I've hardly slept for days and I'm there - stunned, tired, going out tonight to see if my voice still works. Can't remember the last 3d person I spoke to.
Ended up with 4 interweaving stories that are almost completely, but not quite, unlike literature. (Thank you Douglas)

Now the hard work starts - fixing this tosh.
