The novel itself is not quite finished, I think there's a bit more to write, but I'm keeping the deadline of midnight on the 30th as my end time to actually complete the novel.

I'M FINISHED!
*collapses* That was the hardest run for 50K I have done so far since I started doing NaNo. But it was an incredible ride. I wrote 6,372 words yesterday and 9,454 today to reach a verified 50,033 words. Talk about taking advantage of the catch-up weekend!

Count me in too! I just verified my word count and printed the certificate. WOOHOO! Feels so good to have reached this goal. Of course, now it's time to do some serious editing, but at least I can do that now with a clear conscience.

Purple is my favorite color - and I think it looks good on me :) I did 3000 words tonight plus a few to make sure the validation would pass... it feels great to be at 50K!
I still have a ton to go on the story- like at least another 100 or 150K! There is no way I would try to do that in a month unless I was getting paid and could write for 8 hours each day. Now wouldn't THAT be nice!!

Well...I didn't quite manage 300k between my two novels, but I did manage to reach my personal goal this year of 75k, and I also managed to make it halfway to 50k in my second (or rather, third) novel. It was really a pity...if only I'd waded through those first five or six chapters (or 10 pages, for the chapters are so short) a little sooner, I could easily have been over 100k again. But, unfortunately, I didn't get my true second wind until this week, so I only make it to 80 some odd k. And my second novel, which finally picked up, is so far from finished.
Fortunately, I did break a personal record tonight: I wrote 2,334 words in under an hour of time (that last hour there)!
Congatulations, once more, to everyone else who achieved the 50k or absurd personal goals such as 300k...
