I'm only at 34k. I know it's quite near now, and still roughly a week to go, but exams are next week and I've got several academic competitions to prepare for. I don't think I can make it. I should be at 40k now as I type this.

I'm thinking of quitting, but it's hard! Now that I've crossed the 25k mark it's hard to just throw it all away...

Perhaps I'll still keep writing, but there's no guarantee I'll be the proud owner of a 50k novel just yet.

Don't quit! =) I'm way behind than you but I'm still trudging along...and work is annoying me every single night. But just go and write whenever you can. Sayang if you quit now, you're almost there :)

I strongly agree, no one should ever quit.

You dont loose until it's over and it's not over until you quit.

Dont end it before it should. I myself am having a hard time geting out of 30k since my work just stranded me for a couple of days with not a single budge on my wordcount.

We can all do this. Pinoy Wrimos, we will not quit.

Even if we fall flat on our faces, even if we dont get to the top and even if we get silly feedback from all the other Wrimos in the world...we must move on. For it's not the prize we should be after nor seeing the finish line but rather gaining the experience of the journey and seeing it to its end while sharing it with the people we are racing with.

We stop when the bell rings, no sooner than that.

Until then we still have a couple more days to go. Let's give it all we've got! And let's show them what being a pinoy is all about. If we cant beat them, at least let's give them somthing they will be delighted about, a good fight! We may look like war torn heroes but if we dont quit and try to move on, all that will be left is the word hero, and that's what we'll all be. Win or loose, we are such the day we decided to participate. Dont let anyone take that back from you.

GO TEAM PHILIPPINES!!! GO GO GO!! YEY!

I'm really behind on my word count. Like more than 4k worth of words behind. It's getting really frustrating and hard to pin down the words even though I have an idea of what I'm going to write about. The characters are being uncooperative and unreasonable and it's just getting really discouraging when I see people's word counts skyrocketing >.< sorry, I'm a very negative person...

Never ever think that you are loosing just because other people are above you. You are a winner until you decide to quit.

If there'd be anything that you should feel towards people flying around efortlessly, it should be the feeling of a renewed challenge that should be used in order to fuel your urge to try even harder.

Hey if they can do it...so can I.

Diba po?

Ano, hataw pa! Let's do this pipol!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not going to be able to finish the story by the 30th. I might be able to finish the 50k word count requirement but not the story. I'm afraid I've only reached the halfway mark story-wise and I really don't know how that will work... >.<

For the past two years I've won NaNo, I reached the 50k mark but not the end of my story. My 2006 novel reached 50k early but the story is just halfway. :D It's perfectly fine. :)

So even if the story isn't finished, you can still be considered a winner?

Ma'am, as long as you reach the 50,000 margin...you did it!

It's up to you now as to when you want to finish it.

Just keep this in mind...you did 50k words in 30 days....what's keeping you from doing the rest of it before the year ends?

Diba po?

Galingan nyo pong lahat!!! Yey!
