I'm so quiet because i'm worried.
I'm 40k into this thing and a plot is just emerging. I have more random characters than a Dickens novel. Bizarrely they all go on holiday at the same time, they all have breakfast at the same time..they even have sex with synchronicity...
How do you end the damned novel? Advice from previous winners very welcome or from anyone who has time to lift their head into reality...

Leave it on a some sort of cliffhanger, have them all find some semblence of happiness in their own unique ways, through finding love, through finding out they're better on their own or through coming into money etc.
Then have a huge storm moving in and finish it with a sense of peril, then next November you can pick up just after there with things thrown into termoil again. :)

Thanks for your comments.
It's getting to the cliff hanger that's the problem. I just need someone to write for me!
Just between you, me and the forum i'll be delighted never to see these blasted characters again. (I mean a pregnant evil bitch who presents a home shopping channel? Where did that spring from?)
Still oddly quiet..has Derby suffered some unnatural disaster I don't know about yet?

Hello! *typing left handed so scuse spelling*
i have been away for my writing retreat, secluded cottage, middle of nowhere, bliss!
On friday, walked 7 miles. up and down hills, over rough terrain, but only ached the nice post-long walk ache. Saturday, slipped on the FLAT floor outside the cottage, bruised both knees and have done god only knows to my right arm. Hurts to write, type or do much with my hand. grr.
I'll be posting the very few pics from last Wednesday shortly...

Blurry pic of the gorgeous Starla and Penfreak (the latter will no doubt be persuaded to fulfill more of Starla's twisted fantasies on paper on Wednesday XD)

And because there was no photos of me at the write-in...
Me at the writing weekend I went on Friday - Sunday (the main reason I couldn't complete NaNo, was worth it though)

Hi peeps
I've been WAY too quiet on here this year... sorry
And the new baby has kept me away from the write-ins... maybe next year???
But I am now dangerously close to reaching the magic 50 :-)
Good luck to all in the final push... as they say ;-)

Yeah, come on you lot, look at this nice shade of purple.
I've reached my target of 60,000 words, but still have another thousand or two to write to finish off the story.

Well done Mach! You really have achieved something. You must be really proud of yourself.
Im making my 50k tomorrow for the first time since doing nano. Juggling the life work balance has been really tough. But its the personal achievement that I feel is the best, which is what nano is about.
Good luck to 60,000k fellow writer. I'm there to support you...
