Less than five-hundred words to go... so close...
And the best way to celebrate the end of NaNoWriMo? I have the final performance for Damn Yankees on Saturday, at 2:00. After that, EVERYTHING will be over. If there were anyone in my area, I'd invite them to enjoy a matinee performance here at the high school :)

I can't actually believe it, I did 16k in three days. Take that stereotypically unproductive college break!
Oh boy, now I have a month's worth of homework to catch up on.
Congrats everyone!!!

Don't forget to validate your word count! you can still update the count after you see your winner's certificate!
Heehee.... I didn't quite expect to finish NaNo last night. We'll see how much longer it takes for me to finish the story.:)

I know. I got so excited to reach 50k but I'm definitely at least 20k or more words away from the end of the book. Oh well... get through finals and then that's what winter break is for :).

Ok, now that the gloating is out of the way...
Thank Gods!!!!!! I have never felt such relief ever. Not even last year. This year was tough enough because of all the things in my way. But I did it! With time to spare!!!!
Now.. if I can just actually finish the story....

I just made it this afternoon. It didn't seem real until I actually had the certificate printed and in my hand. As usual, 50k is just the beginning. I feel like I've barely got the story off the launch pad. And boy, it was a rocky road getting this far. At least twice a week since the beginning of the month, I was positive that I'd never make it to 50k, and I almost threw in the towel a few times, but then I just got to work writing when I had the chance and passed the 50k mark today right in the middle of a scene--so I'm going back to writing!
If I can do it, believe me, lots of others can, too!

Yes! I made it yesterday, added a little word count today. Just wanted to see my purple bar on the Maine boards. See any of you tomorrow who can make it to the Portland TGIO. But I'm not sure I'm thankful...

In a few short minutes, it will be December, and I am leaving November as a novelist. Cheers to all who made it, and best hopes for next year (if you are participating!).

I did it!
I finished the story and got my 50k+ words today. I'm wiped out. It was a great experience but now I've got so much to do.
I honestly don't believe I will be doing this again next year. If it were a month that wasn't November, perhaps, but the time when it falls makes it damn hard to keep up with holiday planning and travel and deadlines and such. So I'm glad I did it, but once is plenty.
