Hi all,
Despite the great turn-out today, I am conscious that on the evening of the 29th, novelists will be falling into one of three broad categories - those who have decided not to continue this year, those who have finished already, and those who are relying on every last second to get themselves across the 50K line.
I belong to the latter group!
Please can you indicate here if you have made plans to come to the write-in on the 29th? If people think that the journey to the library will actually reduce critical writing time, then we might be better off thanking Exeter Central for letting us use the room, but letting them have it back to make some money out of!
If anyone is relying on an event this Thursday, we can always meet in the reference library as I expect numbers will be quite small.
Thanks folks!

Hehe, I belong to the third group too!

I'm in the third group too.
Although I could attend, I know that the hour I would attend for, would mean getting home an hour later, so in effect I'm transplanting writing at home time to the library. I'd instead say something like we have an extended clinic hours, of maybe 8-10pm? Or 7-9pm, but as I don't get home til 6:30pm, I might miss the start of a 7pm session, due to eating.
I'd vote extended online clinic, and let the library use the room, on this occasion :-) Word wars work better online!

I'll be working that night, so I wouldn't be able to do either a write-in or an extended online clinic. :( If I were able to come though, the extended clinic sounds good. Could we maybe do one or two of those this week anyway? ;)

Yes I fully expect to be burning the midnight oil a couple of times this week so will make sure I'm online when I do!

Please note that this Thursday's write-in has now been cancelled, due to reasons listed above.
If anyone would like to meet in the library at that time for an informal write-in, please contact Emma.
Thanks everyone.
