Wow.
I don't think I've ever cleared 50,000 this early in November. Now, the job's not done yet -- I still have a happy ending that needs to be written, but just maybe I'll treat myself to a Grey Cup party this Sunday. : )
So, if anyone else hits that golden number and wants to celebrate, here's the thread! Step up onto the podium, and take a bow!

High five, Aquadeo! And your post about discovering that your novel is fanfiction...hee! That was awesome!
I'm glad I still have a few days because my story is taking a while to wrap itself up!

Wow! I am so happy! Never in my dreams did I think I could do it. But I did. Now I think I will just collapse for a while. I'll let my people have a rest while I contemplate giving them more well rounded personalities, and some sparkling conversation. High Five!

Bravo! Confetti and applesauce for everyone! I'm sure there are a few more success stories out there, though -- don't be shy, people! You've earned the right to brag a little!
Oh, and as for what you do now: Step 1 is to have a good Christmas holiday. As for Step 2... Did you know that March is National Novel Editing Month?

My fingers have just delivered a formal strike notice, no more typing.
Congrats to the winners and to those who may not cross the finish line, but gave it all a great effort despite adversity.

I can't believe I did it! I hit 50,000 tonight and have about a little bit more to go in my story! It really got weird, what with throwing in a half-assed "Doctor Who" fanfic and all, but wow! This is like the most I ever wrote in a period of time! WOOW!

Me too! I also have another 6k to do to do this story justice and bring it to its rightful end, but I broke 50k tonight.
Unfortunately, Safari crashed when I tried to download my certificate and badge. Anyone know how to retrieve it?

I DID IT! OMG I did it! I can't believe I finished! Last night I had 3,000 words to go and today I just...I wrote like the wind man! I'm so happy that I won't have to do ANY more creative writing at all this year, school ends soon and NaNo and done and I'm so ready for a break.
I'M GOING TO CELEBRATE!
