So, ready to validate yet? I sure was!

And see, look at the purple prettiness I've gotten!

I'm all done my novel. Anyone else got their purple bar?

Patrick, you were right. I never ever want to try that again. 100K? Just a little excessive.

Yay me. I've had the proverbial crap hit the fan around here, so its a good thing I finished early. My novel is nowhere near done, but I've got to get back in the game so to speak.

I'm soooooooo getting the certificate framed and hung on the wall I tells ya!

Yeah, I still have a lot of words to go before my novel is done, but the 50k mark is there!

So this is a double victory for me. I got to add two little words to the very last part of my story this year that I haven't been able to add is previous years.

THE END

Now, it ain't pretty. It ain't even coherent at this point. I slogged through almost 7000 words today - a record for this year's competition. I thought it was sucking. But then somehow I came up with an awesome climax. Things started fitting together and I think I actually have a half-decent story.

I had pretty much given up on Egoant's submission challenge, but I may still be in the running. Sure, I'll need more spit than a seventh grade kiss to polish it up, but I just may do it.

Ooooh!
Pretty!
This is almost better than all the shiny Christmas lights.

Yeah I still have a lot of touch ups to make and I think I have a few things I can add, but I was so glad I hit the 50k I took a few days off!

Very pretty. I need to keep writing if I want to be able to type "The end" when I'm finally done, though. Yeah, I'm definitely framing the winner's certificate again this year!

My internet here has been dying every time I tried to verify the wordcount. FINALLY I hit submit and the thing didn't crash! The story is nowhere near done though. I have about 20k left before I can type "The End" which will hopefully be done in December.

I did it!

I actually wrote an entire novel!

I don't really worry that it's only fifty thousand words. It all worked out, and I actually, finally did it!

The beautiful purple bar shows me only one thing: I can accomplish anything I put my mind and determination to.

Congrats, all winners! We're done!!!

Yay! Purple bars! XD My story is actually only about 1/3 of the way done - I'll probably be writing for much of the next few months. D: I have so many good ideas for what's going to happen next, but now that I've hit 50k I've slowed down... which is very bad! Must keep up the pace...!

Stupid Microsoft Word told me I was at 50,000 words, but the web site said I was still 120-odd short. But I kept going, because I swore I was going to finish tonight and avoid the rush. I'm close to the end of my story, but whether I write the end before December, or even January, I couldn't tell you.

I won. I won.

I won.

Holy crow.

I won.

More importantly, I finished.

Yes, I realize that it was not 100k, it was not 200k. IT was not 80k. It was meant to be part 2 for my novel. Then it changed to maybe part 2 and 3. I made it just over 50000 words and finished part 2.

Oh, and I won.

Ugh...
