Does anyone plan to submit their novel (after the appropriate editing) for publication? Just wondering if there might be a Kingston chapter for NaNoPubYe after this.

yeah I think that would be fun, should we start an editing group.? It would have to meet over the next 10 years every saturday since that's how long it'll take for me to edit my novel.

30 days to write one and 3,650 days to edit it? That's something you might want to improve upon...
Actually, I shouldn't tease, my first NaNo from 2004 still needs a final few touches of editing before I'll be confident in sending it out to a publisher- I have a friend reading it for me now. Not that I've spent all this time on it, I just sort of tucked it away and forgot about it after I wrote it, until getting involved in this year's NaNo reminded me of it.
Neat part was, I re-read it, liked it, and decided it was worth polishing. I don't want to wait so long to 'finish' my 2007 NaNo.

Both last year's NaNo novel and this years require a lot of work before publication; in each case I had/have about half a novel. But maybe NaNoPubYe is worth trying.

National Novel Publishing Year; there's also the just-started National Novel Finishing Month in December, and National Novel Editing Month in March.

This month, I plan to leave my nano novel untouched in order to get some distance. January is when I will start the editing process, and it would be nice to have a support group then.
