NaNoWriMo Jingle lyrics:

NanoJingle-o
by Shannon Cleary

Thought I had a lot to say
Was gonna write a book someday
Now it seems I’ve found a way

Nanowrimo
All the time-o

Now I lay me down to sleep
Counting words instead of sheep
Can’t stop now I’m in too deep

Nanowrimo
All the time-o

Word count’s got me on my knees
My computer wants to freeze
Won’t somebody help me please

Nanowrimo
All the time-o

Think I’m coming round the bend
50,000 words to send
But now I don’t want this to end
Nanowrimo’s my best friend … (pause)

Nanowrimo
All the time-o
Mi-oh-my-oh
Nanowrimo
Say goodbye-o Sayanar-o Hasta lueg-o
Au Revoir-o Auf Wiedersehen-o
Arrivederci-o Aloha and Mahal-o Ciao y Adios-o
Namaste-o (last word is sung a capella, with harmonies, in choir-like
head voices, pure and clear, followed by CHINESE GONG – at very end)

Sound Effects: Clacking of keyboard somewhere to illustrate furious typing, of course! Also, use different sounds to illustrate different that genres have musical cues throughout, such as adventure sounds: Tarzan yell, bugle fanfare, Western sounds, futuristic sounds, fantasy chimes, Dixieland jazz, blues riffs, etc.—you can go wild on this one! International/cultural flavors are illustrated through musical instruments and voices at the end… different languages and accents for different countries and regions worldwide.
