I know there are a couple of the group who are doing the same any second now... go go go!
My novel is still about 20K from completion, though. I can't possibly leave my poor characters where they are. They'll keep me up at night begging for some sort of stability and resolution otherwise...

Well done Emma! As I came to this almost a week late, knowing very little about it, I have surpassed my goal of 30,000. I know I won't finish as we are going away early Friday! However, I shall definitely be back next year raring to go from November 1st. It's been a hard slog and I think my family, friends and colleagues think I have finally lost the plot...which I did until I find another one.
I will look when I get back and see how many other Devonians (I am but an adopted one) have turned purple.

Hey I've just gone purple too. I went straight there from blue - which suits me just fine as I don't wear green!
