I was wonder, since so many nano's or fanfic writers seem to have stories with this theme [not necissarily erotic] is there any published gay themed novels? if so where would one find them?

F/F - try Carole Giorgio and BL Miller for originals, but in my limited experience if you're looking online try fanfiction - there are many crazy people shipping everything from brothers to total enemies in the weirdest of ways, and you can't get more dedicated then crazed fanpeople...

OH honey! There is a TON of really fun and exciting GLBT Fiction out there. There is also a bookclub (I believe it is Insideout.com) that will send them directly to your house if you are having trouble finding a GLBT bookstore in your area.
