I was wondering if anyone knows if Lulu is offering the free complimentary copy of a 50,000 word novel in conjunction with the Nanowrimo winners. Does anyone know?

Sorry, no they are not doing it this year. Too bad too, I was TOTALLY going to do that this year, I let it slip last year.
There is some talk Amazon may be doing it, but have found no evidence to support it yet, I think it is still in negotiation.

how much is it to do just one copy? If it's not much I might actually edit it and have it printed just for the hell of it. While it maybe a crap book, at least it's my book.

I've printed from Lulu several times, and a single copy of a book is usually no more than $9. It's definitely worth it, but you have to put in some effort to make it look nice.

I can tell you a 400 Something page book will run me $16 per copy. But that is a huge book, I think the average for a Nano-sized normalish 50k book is about 7 or 8 dollars.

YOUR books would be huge - that is for sure!
50K is supposed to be about 175 pages.
No way do I want my current book in print - needs too much work. But my first NaNovel was fun...
