And if you need to bounce an idea off a friend, just check this thread for your backboard :) It might be nice, if you don't normally sign your posts with your actual name or name that you would answer to if someone shouted it across the room, to put a name that we can address you by in real life.

I am trying to attempt a literary pursuit this year, but as the lovely Lauren will attest, when I am gasping for a decent word count, I tend to have my character look around and ask "hey, do you wanna make out?" This always produces many words, particularily when the offended party starts slapping the character in question. Humans, you got to love them. We make for great stories.

I'm Teresa - I've done NaNo for the last 5 bajillion years, more or less, with the exception of last year, as I was recovering from surgery that had me out of work for 11 weeks. I don't recommend that, by the way. I'm still deciding on this year - I know the idea is "No plot, no problem," but I need a plot, dang it, and I can't seem to come up with one I'm excited about. I have a few ideas, but nothing I'm sure I can do 1,700 words a day on for a month!
I tend to change my username every year - I'm not really sure why - and this year is no exception. I don't know if I'll be hitting any of the Write-Ins this year - time gets in the way and I tend to end up chatting more than writing - but I'll be on the site so feel free to say that way if you're so inclined.

I'm Beth, this is my third year, but I'm a little nervous about this year as I'm taking a class as well as working, and have the added distraction of going to a music festival the first full weekend in November, so we'll have to see how this year goes.
