Hi, I live just outside Chester too! Chester was supposed to have its own region this year, because the nearest region to us was Manchester - but then Rosiebunny and Ladyvivien decided to co-ML for Liverpool, and it makes more sense to have one online forum than two. If anyone else would like to meet up for write-ins in Chester, that would be great!
All the best,
Linda M

*raises hand* from Widnes, the mysterious borderland. Officially, we are Cheshire, prior to that we were Lancashire, we have a Warrington Postcode, A Liverpool Telephone Number and a Merseyside BBC site. O.o weird, yeah? :)

Well, I don't think that's weird - according to the BBC website, we're (in Macclesfield) part of Manchester, so only the *really* big news items of ours go on there. Plus I heard a rumour recently that Cheshire is soon to adopt Manchester postcodes (which seems silly, although to be fair Macc is both SK10 and SK11). Anyone shed any light on this?

hello everyone. i'm in tattenhall, which is a village close to chester. i'm an american expat and am new to the area. so, will there be any chester meet-ups? i'm the type who needs loads of encouragement! been signed up since 2007, but this will be my first real go at it. honestly, i couldn't pick a worse time to do this as i'm getting married this weekend and moving into my new home, nevertheless i intend to give it a real shot. anyway, hopefully i'll meet some of my fellow cestrians.

Hi, I'm new to all this so be gentle with me!
I'm in Macclesfield, and I don't see whyCheshire doesn't have it's own place, it's not like it's tiny!
So I signed up to this on the spur of the moment, after years of wondering whether I have a book in me. Let's see then!

Hi everyone, I'll be attempting this for the first time too! I'm in Crewe but I've joined the Manchester region, it seemed closest!
So there's no Cheshire events planned as of yet?

Hey, another one from Crewe here.
This is my second time attempting NaNo. Here's hoping RL doesn't intrude to much this time. ^_^'

Wow, three people from Crewe! I never thought there'd even be another one, haha!
I'm currently procrastinating - not the best start!

Yeah, I was surprised because I came in here to do a shout out to Crewe and found two people right above me.
I've started, but I'm writing in a notebook first and typing up when I get some quiet time. I'd guess I've managed about 200 words so far but I haven't really got going yet.
I might type those 200 up now though, just to get my word count off zero. ^_^'

And so it has finally started ... Great to see so many in the Cheshire area! There are loads of Wirraliens and Cestrians over at the Liverpool region as well, so keep an eye on their message boards for write-ins and meet-ups.
Is anyone up for a Chester meet one day this first week? I am on flexible hours, so just about any day or time suits me, what would be good for you? Weekdays or weekends? Daytime or nighttime?
Best of luck with your November novelling!

Meet up sounds good, I'm off on holibobs next week though and have job interviews this week, but after that's good
I haven't told my family about nanowrimo yet, only my husband knows so far, I fear the rest of my family will think I'm mad (but so do I right now). I'm really having fun though, just hope that I've got 50000 words in my story and it doesn't die a death at 10000!

Hi, I'm from Macclesfield. I didn't realise that there wasn't a Cheshire section when I went on regions. It's taken me 3 years to even realise that there were others from this region on the site. Obviously I wasn't looking hard enough.

Hi, I am on the Wirral, in Cheshire but also joined the Liverpool region. Hey, it can't hurt, can it?
My son challenged me to give this a go - he is also doing it.

Hi
I spoke to the other Linda on the Liverpool region and she pointed me to England Elsewhere - now fancy not having our own region - there certainly seem to be enough of us.
Good luck to everyone this is my first time too as it seems to be for some of you others.
A different Linda M.
