Hey. Well this is my second year of doing Nano and I'm 17. I was wondering if there was anybody here around my age. I live in Cliffside Park by the way.

Hello all, i'm Greg, 42, from Northern Jersey, Jersey City to be exact, and this will be my 2nd year doing Nano. I had a blast last year, though my completed script sits on my flash drive waiting to see the light of day again, and am really looking forward to doing it again this year. My novel is going to be called THE PICK UP, a thriller about a guy on the run, and i can't wait to get started. Good luck to everyone .....

This is year number 8 for me, started way back in 2002. Age? 45. A young 45.
So I'm wondering, for those of you in school, how do you manage to write so much and keep up with school work?

Sleep less, for starters. =]
The first year I did Nano, I was still a full time college student, and I found it a lot easier to "win" because my time was already broken into little chunks. I just needed to add a few more time chunks to be able to finish it all.
Last year, I was not so lucky.
^___^ This year, even though I am not a student, I still have to take time to study for the exams that I am taking, so I have high hopes for finishing it this year.

well, i am in the last year of getting my bachelors degree. dual major, english & special ed k-12. between student teaching, 18 credits of classes, work, and much much hw, i have no idea how i'll get it done :) but i get no sleep anyway, so i think i can do it. i am good at scheduling and budgeting my time and work really well with a thought out schedule.

Well, I'm still in high school, so that's fun. Thankfully, my school is set up in such a way I have pockets of free time throughout the day, which helped me A LOT with NaNo last year. As well as writing (on my laptop, thank god) on the way from school on the bus. and less sleep, of course. but homework always comes first, unfortuneatly.
actually, looking back on it, I'm not completely sure how I managed it. I finished a week early, too. I just know that on the last day I was writing, I didn't have any homework. xD So I managed to pound out the last 6000 words in 3 hours.
