Looks like we're formulating plans for a Tuesday write-in, likely at Starbucks, but not for sure on venue yet. I love Monon also, but for evening weekdays the hours are unfortunately short. I've not been to the place near Moe & Johnny's. I thought that had changed to be part of the bar or something? Used to be it was Corner Coffee, I think?

There is that Hubbard and Cravens or something like that also in Broad Ripple, just south of the post office. I need to check on that one and see what their hours are. That might be another possibility.

I'd totally be into a regular meetup in Broad Ripple. My wife and I just moved to the area a few months ago, and I've not really been to any of the coffee shops around town besides Starbucks. It'd be fun to see some of the other venues for sure.

I do not know where the meet up is. I would prefer to spend my money at locally owned coffee shops. I am a fan of supporting locally owned businesses. the Monon coffee shop would be great.

Did Monon change their hours? We haven't had evening write-ins there in the past because they closed too early, but their site says they're open 'til 8.

How would it work for everyone if we changed Tuesday's write-in to Monon at 6pm? Whoever can get there earlier, please do, but I'm sure I can make it by 6.

If everyone wants to meet at the Monon, then maybe that's what should be done. I will not be able to attend, as I'm generally not free until later in the evening on Tuesdays, like 7:30 or 8pm.

I've updated the calendar for 6:30 Tuesday at Monon Coffee. If anyone wants to be there early, by all means -- I just posted the times I knew I could make it tomorrow. For those who haven't met me, I'll be carrying a bright green shoulder bag.

Sir Gearhead, Sam and I can mosey on over to Starbucks when Monon starts closing down. Anyone else need to write later than 8?

sorry i can't be there!! i want to represent the BR writers, but do not have a laptop as of yet. i am going to work on that, at least borrowing from someone, so can we schedule another one soon??

Planning on going tonight, but I'll likely be running late - 1 month anniversary time! I'll probalby have time to move over to Starbucks with the others as well. Looking forward to some good writing time!

Just wanted to say that I had a great time at the write-in this evening. It was like some odd kind of inaugural homecoming, if that makes any sense, a first time for a repeat? Glad to see the new folks there as well as the veterans. I hit my goal for the day plus a few hundred extra. Hopefully will get more of a cushion here before the week is out.

I mentioned to Ericka that I have to be out of town next Tuesday evening, but I plan on making the remaining BR Tuesday night write-ins.

So, I went last night but I was too shy to introduce myself to anyone! So silly; I know. Anyway, be sure to get there on time next time and take a minute to meet you guys before I bury my head in my story. (I was the girl with the egg salad sandwich in the white sweater.)

Hey, Virginia. I should have brought a write-in sign to make it a little easier. Sorry about that.

I had a good time last night. Monon was pretty cool and has great coffee (and a good-looking menu that I didn't sample), though I think it would work best for smaller groups than ours. Starbucks simply has more seating, more outlets, and longer hours (they're open 'til 11pm!).

I've changed the calendar for the next three weeks to Starbucks, 6:30-9pm. I'll try to get the 4-person table just inside the door, and I'll bring a sign ;)

I won't be able to make it tonight either. There's a very slim chance I may be able to make it out tomorrow, but that's all I can say at this time.

Hey! I just realized I have tomorrow off work! I'll be doing some writing tomorrow earlier in the day for sure, maybe around Broad Ripple or wherever. If anyone else has afternoon hours this is a possibility for me, probably up until around 6pm or maybe a little bit later.

Let's hijack this thread and turn it into the announcement for any BRip authors who are out and about in the neighborhood and extending an invitation for others to join.

Expect me at Starbucks today around 6:30 until whenever. My goal today is 20,000 so I should be there at least a couple of hours.

I should be easy to spot, as I now have a Nano sticker on my laptop thanks to Gearhead.

I'm currently at Mo'Joe, and my stickers are still in transit, apparently. I'm rather good for nothin' on the Broad Ripple Writers front tonight.

Must have just missed you, gm. I got there right around 8pm I guess, maybe a little after. I was there until about 9:30 and got in a good 2K.

I'm heading to the BR Starbucks right now, will be there by 9am until noon or 1, trying like mad to hit at least 3K words.

I'll be wearing a dark blue shirt, typing on an olive green Neo.

Argh; I'm disappointed I missed tonight. I fell asleep face flat on the couch tonight right after work. If anyone wants to do another the rest of the week, let me know; I could be up for it!

i really wanted to go tonight. have been out of work for month, so of course this would be my first night at a new job. anyway, i would be up for another meeting sometime this week if anyone else is. maybe this weekend?
