I was hoping someone would make a thread on this! I thought I was the only one, hah. Not really sure why we don't have our own region, it's a big county, but I suppose if enough people do...

Anyway, yeah, you're not alone. =)

Hi. This is my second year doing NaNoWriMO. I am in northern Westchester (Ossining) and last year attended meetups in Yorktown at Panera and tried to get to ones in Peekskill but could not make them. Let's share locations and what we are writing!

Great. Panera in the Triangle has wireless and it is very comfortable to hang out there.

I'm actually down in Southern Westchester (White Plains area.)

I don't know if I count since distance wise I could pass for either NYC or the SO Tier.

I'm from Tarrytown, and it's my ... hmm... fifth year, I think. I won last year, so I'm trying to continue the momentum! I also have a new laptop this year, so I can come to write-ins and hold my head high! :)

I can't believe it's almost November already...

'Tis my third year, and I've never been so excited for November. =D

I'm in Scarsdale. What's everybody writing?

I can't do meets, but you're not alone. I'm here in the Katonah Lewisboro School District, 10th grade. :D

Hi all. This is my...*pauses to count*...7th nano, technically speaking, although I've had varying degrees of seriousness in attempting it each year.

I'm 28 and new-ish to Westchester (lived in Pleasantville for a year, and now have been in White Plains for a bit less than a year...before that I was a Jersey girl). Hoping to scrape up some actual effort to put into NaNo this year, but we'll have to see...

Oh, yeah, I'm here with the Westchester County contingent! I've been doing NaNo every year since 2003, and was even a Municipal Liaison twice during that time.

I live in Peekskill, I went to at least one (were there two?) write-in at the Yorktown Panera, and would be happy to meet anyone who's interested for write-ins at the Peekskill Coffee House (very productive location for writing), or anywhere else in northern Westchester.

I think there are a few others from years gone by who are coming with us this year as well.

Let the fun begin!

First year wrimo from Cortlandt! I was pretty surprised that we didn't have our own region, but so it goes.
I would love to do a write in - the Peekskill Coffeehouse is a great location (I've gone there to study before), and the new Panera at the Cortlandt Town Center is pretty nice as well.

Hi All -- this is my sixth Nano. I'm in Dobbs Ferry. Have had near misses meeting up with others several times over the years, and will certainly try again this year if the timing works.

Hi. I am in Yonkers with family in Ossining. I visit Ossining often and am so glad to find other here from the area. While I have been a member since 2007 this will be my first year actively participating.

Tarrytown!

Uhh, this is my first 'official' NaNoWriMo, but I've tried twice in the past.

Anyway yeah I'm from Mount Vernon, I think lower Westchester... I don't know about anyone else, but having someone drive me all the way to Peekskill (I'm only 15) is not going to work. If someone can arrange for a meeting closer to my area, then maybe I'll be able to go.

If anyone hasn't seen the other thread:
We're thinking of a kickoff/write in on Sunday Nov 1 at the Peekskill Coffee House, from 3-6 pm. A chance to meet your fellow wrimos and get started on that word count!

I just signed on again (fool that I am - I've never successfully finished a month of this craziness). I'm in Dobbs Ferry.

I also have another thread, about writing at the Yonkers Public Library, Riverfront Branch. I'm hoping to get some participants. I've reserved a room on the second floor for Saturdays 2-4 tomorrow (October 31), and then November 21, 28, and December 5. Please nanomail me if you plan on coming.

Hey, all.

I'm in New Ro. I did NaNoWriMo in 2006, and now I'm back.

What's more, I've got three friends doing it for the first time, and we've all got a friendly wager amongst ourselves. One of them is another New Rochellian, the other two are from northern Westchester.

I may stop by a couple of those Yonkers meets.

I'd also be interested in more write-ins.

Meanwhile, good luck everyone!
