Out of curiosity...are people going to be meeting at the Barnes & Noble on the Somerville circle again?

I'm from Hillsborough, and that's where I usually shop. If something were organized for that location, I might try to drop in
(he said non-committally).

I'm in Branchburg/Neshanic Station and I would totally (if it didn't have scheduling conflicts) go to write-ins there

Me too. I'm in Bridgewater, but on the North Branch side, so B&N is very close by. I'd write in as my schedule permits!

We used to meet on Wednesday nights from 7 to....whenever.

What nights work for all of you?

Week nights will be hard for me. My parents don't generally condone going places during the week and since I am in high school and lacking my own car, their rules go.

I go to RVCC which is right around the corner, so schedule permitting that'd be rather ideal.

There's no night that really works well for me, but Wednesday is no worse than any of the others.

Due to a stroke of luck, I have the first two Wednesdays in Nov. off from work, so I will be able to attend, at least those two times. This is my first NaNo...where inside do you guys meet? Want to avoid plopping myself down among a group of stranges only to get odd glances....lol! 7 pm you say? Perfect.

In the cafe. :)

This one seems pretty set. I added it to the calendar.

Hi all,

My name is Dave and I work at the Somerville / Bridgewater Barnes and Noble part time. This is my first year of NaNo, having been introduced by two friends who live in Montana.

I'd like the opportunity to participate in a write-in at some point, as a writer instead of an employee collecting stray magazines from tables. :-) It's stroke of luck for me that this B&N was chosen.

Looking forward to meeting folks!

Eep...

I'm afraid I'm going to have to duck out of the week one. As of now that day is also Ocean County's only write-in so I'd like to go to that...just to make sure I've visited the Ocean people at least once.

Looks like I'll be working on this date. So I'll be there in the store, but back in the Music department ,so stuck in my little cage wishing I could put more time into the novel. Write lots for me!

If you need a little breather or to stretch the legs, come on back and say hi.

Since the writein is tomorrow, I thought I'd bump this up to the top again.

Who's all showing up? Besides me, that is. Look for the Wrimo sign.

I read the whole stream of comments & am still not certain - are people meeting at the Barnes & Noble at Somerville Circle at about 7:00 wednesday night or a write-in? If so I'll try to join you.

We are meeting in Barnes and Noble at the Somerville Circle at 7pm on Wednesday. The event is termed a "writein". What happens at these events is a combination of brainstorming, writing, and drinking of coffee. There is no specific target for words written. We are not having a word challenge that I know of.

So, why go to the Barnes and Noble instead of remaining at home, banging the keyboard feverishly? Well, consider this topic

Then there's this response from one writer to another:

Quote:
I want to tell you that your reminder that realtors have keys to vacant houses, and what would someone who had no scruples do with that, has opened up a whole vehicle for me and my evil realtor character guy. Wow - this guy is REALLY evil but not smart, and he plays right into the purposes of my antagonist.

Where else can you get this kind of help? Besides, tomorrow you get to meet the legendary Katie C, of screen, stage, and Wirmo!

Looking forward to seeing you there, Ann!

I'm going to try to be there around 8pm-ish. As I work there, I usually enjoy my time -away- from the place, but I also want to stop in and see if our new Nook display has finally come in.

Last week Bill was kind enough to pop back and say hi. Hope to meet more folks tomorrow.

I'll be there around 7. Are there enough power outlets about or does someone bring a power strip? I'd be happy to do so.

There are two dual outlets on either end of the waist-high counter to the left of the cafe area. No other outlets exist that I am aware of.

I'll have an extension in my trunk, but I really don't think they'd be too pleased if we start sucking 200 amps out of the convenience sockets.

I just had a vision of fifteen folks, fingers flying, friction-fanned flames flitting feveredly, fetching furious fusilades from florid fans.

OK, got off on a tangent there. How about we all hit the laptops at once, dimming the lights as the extension cord glows like a toaster?

All are welcome. We don't discriminate against non-Somerset County people
