La Crosse/UW-L? Anyone?

I live in La Crosse county.

I'm new at UWL this year. I don't know how it's going to go with teaching new classes AND trying to find time to write, but I'm going to give it a shot.

So are there any good places for write-ins in La Crosse? I haven't seen much of the city yet outside of my house, the grocery store and the university. Anyone interested in a write-in?

I live across the river in LaCrescent. This is my first time with Nanawrimo, too. I don't know how it's going to work, either. But what the heck! Nothing ventured, nothing gained. And it will be fun, and it will give me a great excuse to not obsess about my crappy first drafts because I won't be able to take time to obsess about my crappy first drafts. I know one in-real-life person who is also doing this. His first draft will be good because he writes good first drafts, good stories. Best wishes to all of you!

I'm going to go to the Root Note tomorrow around 1 pm, if all goes as planned... it's in downtown La Crosse, a few doors north of Fayzes, on 3rd Street.

I am a fan on the Root Note coffeehouse, and I think they would be open to our camping out for awhile to write. I want them to stay in business, so let's give them our money! :)

UWL here too. I plan on doing some write ins with the anime club group that SilveryBeing mentioned.

I go to UW-L with a few other participants, and we're having open write-ins every Monday night at 6 in the second floor lounge in Cartwright (it's the room with the TV and couches). Anyone is welcome to join us! We have a Facebook group called "La Crosse's NaNoWriMo" as well, and if anybody's using Twitter you can in touch using the hashtag #nanowrimoLaX.
