Great to meet you.
We actually spend most of our time writing when we meet up. So if you bring your lap top or notebook you can still write.
The meetup will be listed on Rai Yan's calendar soon. Probably the first two Tuesdays in November for sure. The date, time and place will be nailed down in a couple days.

I'll be there! Short white chick with shoulder length dark hair and a black laptop. And if you know anyone who has small children, I'm sure I have "that look" about me. You know, the sleep deprivation, the gnashing of teeth... ;) I'll umm... tell you what color shirt I'm wearing a bit closer to the event. There's no telling whether I'll get to both the whites and the darks between now and then.

This is my first attempt at NaNoWriMo. It's great that there are so many in the Wake Forest area. I will be there if I can work out my schedule. I don't remember Starbucks being very large at Wakefield. Is it possible to write during this time or is it more about encouraging one another?

Hi! My name is Nyssa! I live in South Raleigh, but North Raleigh sounds like as close as I'm going to find a meet-up, which sounds good to me! I may even bring along a writing buddy. Definitely count me in. And how perfect that its going to be a Tuesday--that's my day off! I love it when there's a day that really works for most everyone. I am so excited, I might start babbling. This will be my first official NaNoWriMo, and I am determined to get through it on top! I have brown hair and freckles, I'm 24 years old, and I'll be clutching my little white Apple iBook. You can't miss me.

Also, I'm a little further south of Wakefield - so if anyone wants to start a group meeting at Triangle Town Center....maybe in the food court (near the Starbucks which has almost no seating at all)...let me know!

The Starbucks inside the Barnes and Noble in Triangle Town Center also has a teensy bit of seating, but maybe more than near the food court? Now, what i think would be optimal is if we claimed those "display" massaging recliners on the second floor near the elevators. They wouldn't mind if we just camped on those for a few hours, would they? Hmm, maybe they're not massaging, but they do look big and comfy. I'm always there with kids in tow, so I wouldn't know. Thursdays are not as good for me as Tuesdays, but do go ahead and post the info if you're going to do a meetup on a Thursday and I'll make it when I can.

Hiii there. I'm new at NaNo this year.
I live just outside of the Wake Forest area, and it's be nice to meet sometime with other nearby writers! I have a lot of clubs and sports to attend (I'm a sophomore in high school), but I'd really love to meet somewhere. Just say when and where, and I'll see if my mother can drive me! It was great to meet you too!. I see there are many in our area who may or may not be able to work out a Tuesday night. Just so you know, we will be there just in case you can make it. Starbucks is tiny, but we have done well there so far. We have had as many as 6 people writing there, and yes we actually get writing done!
